A few years ago we had mushrooms pop up in our yard that looked nice, so I looked up what type they were. They had “death” in the name of the mushrooms (it might have been “death cap”, although my memory is a bit old).

Yes, that’s how l concluded it was a rock! I suppose they both could’ve been manmade materials, but I didn’t think they’d display a buffalo made from manmade stuff.
I would love to know where this is so I can figure out what the material is. I’ve never seen anything like it.
I went out to bring in the trash can and discovered a stunning sunset. Too late to dash down to the ocean but been there, seen that numerous times.

The three older ones in front normally live somewhere else but I moved them for the photo op. Every time I start a new one, husband says, where are you going to put it. Maybe I’ll just leave them on the coffee table for a while. There’s still room for a cup of coffee…

Alley outside my house in San Diego on Point Loma. We’re exactly one mile from the ocean but there’s a hill between us and the coast.

They are made of Calacatta Rosa Pink Marble which consists of calcite and dolomite.

“ Cabochons: Smooth, rounded, and domed stones (a lot of mine are flat because of the machine I use) that are highly polished and typically bezel-set into rings or pendants.
