Costco had Halloween decor and kids costumes when I was there yesterday.
Shipyard Pumpkin is out, and Sam Adams Oktoberfest will probably ship next week.
Shipyard Pumpkinhead is OK, but I think Jacko from Sam Adams is better—a less subtle and more robust pumpkin flavor than Pumpkinhead–just my opinion.
All my favorite foods.
D2 made this lunch for me, just because.

I made this with fresh tomato’s given to me and some basil.
The chief showing us what our Omakase dinners were going to be.
Hey – no fake pictures, @sherpa! Only AI could render such perfection. If that’s real, it’s the most beautiful picture in this thread. ![]()
I’m a backgammon player!!!
Ok, @sherpa, now you’re killing me. Thank heaven there’s no martini in that photo or I’d flag for moderation - illegal pleasure.
And, @happy1, you’re on thin ice, too.
My son and DIL, who would probably classified as “foodies” and have had many very expensive dinners, were not at all impressed by their experience at the Inn at Little Washington. They paid a ton for dinner, were seated in a terrible place, and they didn’t think the food was “all that.”
What was your experience like? I have never been there, but after their description, I lost my interest in going.
Well, we had a lovely time. We had been there previously, several years ago, but I don’t think that had any bearing on our experience or how we were treated. Our daughter has also eaten there several times and really enjoyed it. I’m sorry they were disappointed with their experience. The prices are not for the faint of heart; both H and I believed it to be worth every penny. We are hoping to have a small party there for a milestone anniversary next year, so obviously it is one of our favorite places.
This time it’s not a rock! It’s a saucer from a miniature tea set perhaps made for doll/miniature houses? Bought two sets at an antique mall in MA.
