The website says that awards will start being sent out late October and continue through March.
“The Scholarship Committee meets weekly from October-February and sends out decisions weekly.”
My daughter got accepted to Dietrich for Neuroscience, got an email yesterday about portal update. ACT 33, GPA 4.73, Texas resident. Hoping for some merit scholarship and honors acceptance.

Congrats!! Do you know when she applied and when her application status was marked complete (“Awaiting Decision”)? Trying to map out a possible timeline for my son’s application.
Son accepted this evening 9/14 for engineering OOS with test scores. Applied 8/9. Competed STARS a couple days later and awaiting decision on 8/13.

SAT 1490, GPA 3.71UW works part time year round and solid EC’s. 9 AP’ s mix of honors classes. OOS so will be waiting on merit decision to determine if it stays on the list. No notification about grad program.
FAQ in letter said grad, honors, and merit would all follow and be notified by 3/1.

Received GAP acceptance and Engineering Accelerated Graduate program (4+1) invite last night, about a week after acceptance to Swanson (the email went to spam). GPA 4.88W/3.88UW, ACT 35. Mostly sports and work EC with one tech-related team involvement.

Son just got his acceptance this afternoon to Dietrich! Submitted application on August 31st and application showed complete on September 11th. Very quick turn-around for the decision.

Applied 8/1 via common app for Nursing, marked complete 8/6. Are there any other Nursing applicants from early Aug still waiting to receive a decision?

Since Pitt nursing is so popular and so competitive, I would guess that application processing time is longer than for many other majors.

It also appears different undergrad programs have different committees possibly meeting on different schedules.
D27 submitted two days ago but still has to do the STAR (a thing I don’t understand since they get her transcript). Fingers crossed!
Pitt doesn’t need nor want a transcript from applicants (assuming your kid is a domestic applicant.) STARS is a required part of the application which puts the onus on the applicant to do all the data entry work so that admissions can have courses and grades organized in the manner they want which ultimately results in a standardized GPA calculation for all applicants.
FYI when C26 applied last year, when they went to do STARS they discovered that one of the other colleges (I think it was UMN) had already done a STARS for them based on the common app grades section, however, it had a number of errors in it. So if your D goes in and finds she can’t set up a new STARS account because someone has already done it, please encourage her to check that the data is correct.

Application marked under review September 25, accepted today September 28. Out of state. Much faster decision time than I was expecting, quite happy!

From what we know there is some sort of regular committee-meeting process, and sometimes you just get fortunate with getting your application in front of your committee quickly. And then if they like you enough, there you go!
I’d just note you can’t reverse this logic, like if it is taking a bit it doesn’t necessarily mean they looked at you and didn’t like you, it instead might mean you just have not gotten to the top of your committee’s pile quite yet.
Very quick turnaround here as well, she wasn’t expecting to hear back until mid-Octoberish - Common App done 9/8, STARS complete and SAT score sent on 9/15, marked as complete and under review on 9/24. Accepted yesterday, 9/28. Out of state, Dietrich undecided.
