<p>I get this little message after I post a reply at least once a day. I have never SEEN a poll on this site. I have never opted to post a poll…</p>
<p>What is this…and why do I get it? Do any of the rest of you get this message?</p>
<p>I better not be jinxing myself here, but no, I have never gotten that message. You, however, are a member longer than I and have thousands of more posts than I. You must love CC more.</p>
<p>I get that too…maybe we should poll everyone to see who else does, haha! Oh wait, we don’t know how to do that…:)</p>

<p>I think I remember polls several years ago. I recall one in the parents forum asking how many colleges kids had applied to. I don’t start many threads, so perhaps it’s in the thread starter somewhere.</p>
<p>I get that message too. And sometimes after I click once, I’m told that I can’t post twice within 60 seconds – even though I haven’t tried to.</p>

<p>I get it too on a mac using Safari, but not on a mac using Firefox. I also get complaints that I have to wait 60 seconds between posts even when I have only hit the post icon once.</p>
<p>I notice that all of you who have seen the message have a comma in your number of posts.</p>
<p>Could it be that having serious postage (or having been posting here a long time) causes you to to see this message and me not to?</p>

<p>I’ve been here forever (and have a comma), but have never seen this message. Using Safari on a Mac.</p>
<p>There have been system glitches on occasion, for sure. One that I get frequently lately is that if I click on “my control panel” it takes me to a main page as if I was not logged in and wants me to log in again, but if I do it again (refresh), it (usually) corrects itself.
As for the “poll” thing-- yes I’ve gotten it too-- and my theory, fwiw, is that if two posters try to post in a thread simultaneously the system gets a little “confused” , gets stuck and this message appears.</p>
<p>I’ve seen that message when creating new threads, but can’t remember if it was here or on the DIS boards; many people create polls on that site. Perhaps it is a feature of the website that is turned off? No idea why some see it and others don’t though.</p>
<p>Not forever. I do have a comma (I think). I use IE8 and XP (or whatever lousy browser I have on my iPhone). Never seen this message. I hope I have not jinxed myself :D</p>
