Pop-up adds on login page

Pop-up ads covering the sign-in page are annoying. I understand the need for revenue from ads, but why make it so difficult to access the site by interrupting signing into it.

@Silpat, can you please post a screenshot of the ad?

I sent you a message with photo.

Got it, @Silpat, thanks! You need to be logged in to not see the button ads. The pop up you can easily close by clicking the ā€œxā€ button in the top right corner.

Yes, I can close the pop-up ad which covers the whole sign in section, but the ad at the bottom of the screen which expands upward does not disappear when I sign in unless I close it. Each time I sign in I am interrupted while typing my email address and have to close both ads before I can get logged in. The ad that usually runs along the right side of the screen doesn’t interfere with logging in or reading, so it’s not a problem.

I realize that the ads can be closed, it’s just a pain and is especially annoying when my time is short and I’d planned to just pop in for a few minutes. I’ve been kicked off the page altogether when trying to shut down ads, and when that happens I’m not inclined to try again. Perhaps I need to take this as a sign that I spend too much time on Parent Cafe.

You can opt to stay logged in so that you don’t always have to sign into your account.

That only seems to work on a laptop though, not on a phone.

Is that so? I’m constantly signed in on my mobile, as well as my laptop.

On an iPhone? If so maybe I have some settings that affect this.

Yes. I’m on iPhone, on Safari.

Hmm, ok. I realized my CC tab is open in private mode. I’ll try using regular mode and see if that makes a difference.
I also realized this is an unnecessary tangent, so I’ll move on. Thank you!

August 4…I’m now getting ads at both the top and bottom of my page when I switch areas of the site. Yes, I’m logged in. And I’m using an iPad which is NOT a desktop.

Totally agree! Pop-up ads that cover the sign-in page can be really frustrating. It feels like they’re prioritizing ad revenue over user experience. It would be better if ads didn’t obstruct access to the site, especially when trying to log in.

@abuhanzala, can you please send a screenshot to understand what ad you are referencing?
