The Garmin GPS approach watch gives you exact distance from your ball to the front, back and center of each green. It can measure how far your ball went too. Since it is on your wrist, it’s one less thing to carry over to your ball. Awesome.

The only issue I’ve had with keyless ignition is for some reason I’m more likely to forget the car is on when I get out.

My mom’s car had it, and I seem to recall a trunk release button somewhere near the driver’s seat, so you could still release it while the car’s on.

Both our cars with keyless ignition have trunk release buttons on the dash so there isn’t a need to get out with the key to retrieve something from the back. The keys are not big at all and I keep them hooked into my purse so they never come out. The only time you have to remember the key is if you valet park and leave the car running for the attendant. If you walk away with the key, he can still drive the car and turn it off. But he won’t be able to turn it back on when you are ready to leave. That is literally the only time I ever remove the key from my purse. Not only is it a wonderful convenience, but I also feel safer when walking to my car alone at night because I can get in very quickly.

Bose noise canceling headphones- I will never get on another plane without them!

Agree with keyless ignition being great. Was leery at first but now love it. Nice feature is unlocking when your key is close- all doors so passenger also can get in. Also locks when door lock pushed from outside- but won’t if you have a key inside (such as forgetting purse, H with second key leaves it in the car or you have a second key in a suitcase in the trunk- then need to push lock button before you close the door. Once wondered why car wouldn’t lock- it was because H hadn’t turned off engine. Once you are used to it it becomes a habit to hit the key button instead of removing a key.

Clorox bleach pen. Now I have so many t-shirts and tanks that are spotless, but olddddd. It was one of those free samples that sometimes come in the mail- you try it and keep buying it.

I have Dropbox and with maybe 40 folders (work related) have quickly reached the limit of the free version. Are you paying $99 a year for storage? Are your ipad and desktop machine linked up? I know I’m not using it to its potential. I also sometimes have trouble distinguishing my folders from shared folders created by colleagues. There is something a little bit clunky about it but again, I may be doing it wrong!

Wow! That does sound awesome, and S2 has a birthday coming up in a couple of months. Is there a particular model that you recommend?

OMG that sounds exactly like something I would do. Makes me wary of getting that feature, because I’m sure I would do that because I’m always lost in thought when I pull into a place. Can’t even guess the amount of times I’ve come out of the grocery store and have no memory of where I parked.

Snowdog, the trick was to get into Dropbox early and have all your friends sign up with you as a referral. Also, check out the couple of small tasks you can do to expand your space. Go through their tutorial, make a shared folder, click a twitter/facebook link, etc. The best one is if you have a newer version of Dropbox, plug in a thumb drive with 2 GB of photos. You get up to 2 GB of space for free once it detects things like digital pictures (you know the default name type of things). Once they’re uploaded, delete all your pictures from Dropbox and you suddenly have 2 GB more space. :)

Also, shared folders are the worst for managing your space. I’ve had more than one time where I turn on my computer to be greeted by 500+ MB of downloads.

SnowDog–you can obtain more Dropbox space by inviting others to view your photos. You will be awarded another half gig of space for each invitee who installs Dropbox. Of course, if you are using Dropbox for personal purposes that shouldn’t be shared, then this approach will not work. I produce and share iMovie slideshows for school and summer teams so I have ended up with 12 or 13 GB of storage. Could you invite family members to install it so that you would be awarded more space?

The only snag I have encountered with Dropbox is that others are able to delete items from my shared folders. (An invitee downloaded and viewed a movie into her Dropbox account and then deleted when finished and it disappeared from my Dropbox!) I need to spend some time figuring out if I have to change something in settings, but I think it must be a common problem as Dropbox had a wonderful Help Menu explanation of how to restore accidentally deleted files.

Nrdsb4–I just got keyless ignition and was thrilled to learn that there is some feature that prevents me from locking my keys in the car, as I almost did that the first day I drove it. I have NO idea how the thing knows that the keys are inside the car and not just immediately outside of the car. Also, car beeps if I exit car while leaving engine running. I moved from driving a car so old that both remotes had fallen apart and I was using the valet key to open & lock doors manually to now not having to even know where the key is.

Am not sure if these have been mentioned…but two now indispensable products are 1 Password and Fit Bit. 1 Password memorizes log in information for all those random things in life that require log-ins from banks to libraries to school websites. Am missing it now as my computer is out for service and I have no idea what my password is on any of my newer accounts, including Dropbox! (Realize that Racine posted while I was still typing.)

Fit Bit tracks steps walked and flights of stairs climbed. Since computer is gone, the Fit Bit is not reporting my info to my replacement computer so I am missing my little bar graphs of daily activity & inactivity. The device still records my activity and once the computer is back, the historical data will report, but the addictiveness of the thing has me missing the charts.

Ugh. Just spent $1000 to replace the keyless ignition on our Nissan after 35,000 miles. Dislike.

The new Ping G25 driver. You almost can’t mi**** the thing.

Magnetron—interesting, and confirming my fears! I had been driving a 13+ year old car so it had nothing electronic. Well, there may have been something electronic but nothing I used in my day-to-day life. My husband had a seven plus year old BMW with the keyless ignition and while that car suffered a number of other problems, the keyless ignition was not one of them.

Not one for buying extended warranties, I did buy one for my new car as I was overwhelmed by the number of electronic gadgets on cars in 2013 compared to 2000. Am hopeful the extended coverage will not be needed.

Yes, that is my big fear about many of the new cars I’ve test driven. There are SO MANY electronics that the odds are something will go wrong sooner than later and costs or repairing and replacing bad electronics can get very expensive quickly.
We’re in the hunt for a newer car than the 1998 and 2000 models we have now.

I really like my salads chopped. This gadget from Williams-Sonoma chops and tosses - completely life changing!

I have a Prius that’s keyless…love it. I admit I have gotten out of the w/out turning it off a few times. My car emits a sharp beep if you get out of the car w/out turning it off. It beeps until you turn it off.

I love my Garmin watch for running/walking/kayaking/biking.

I love my Dri-fit running socks. I am throwing away all my old cotton ones.

Really like my SanDisk Clip Zip mp3 player. I use it all the time. It’s tiny and light as a feather. The advantage it has over an Ipod is that the Clip Zip also has a radio tuner so if I get tired of my downloaded music I can just click over to FM radio.

I love spinner luggage (4 wheels). I thought 2 wheeled luggage was brilliant but the spinners are even better!

I can’t believe no one has mentioned this yet - Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It has saved me repainting the wall in front of the counter stools countless times, and I can’t believe how it takes soap scum off glass shower doors/walls with one swipe. Amazing.

Ooh…I use it on walls too but never tried it on soap scum…
