Project Runway 2015 Edition! Who's Watching!

I cannot agree more. The other 2 designs showed great construction and inventiveness, so why reward the one with awful construction?

I thought Blake was in the bottom, too. And now he has immunity so will be around another week. He has not impressed me.

Something must have been up with that. I mean, they had practically NOTHING to say against Candace’s and Swapnil’s design. They were HEADS above Blakes. Makes you wonder if Mary Kay had something to do with the pick - though I don’t know why they liked it either! Just totallly weird that something so imperfect wins. I agree that it looked like her ponytail was holding the dress up!

The bottom two were awful. Neither of those girls has the confidence or attitude to go very far. I also have no idea why Lori’s dress didn’t make top. Weird choices on that show!!!

Well, first of all … somebody really missed the boat last night with the paintball episode – why wasn’t it a Sherwin Williams challenge??? Second of all, that had to be one of the LAMEST set-ups EVER! And why no comments on Kelly Osbourne’s hair color which matched Designer Ashley’s hair?? Geez, people, you’re asleep on the job here. I agreed with the outcome, at least.

They must be showing more than one episode on Thursday night because the one I saw had to do with a Mary Kay challenge. Sorry I missed the paintball challenge (o.k., not really!).

In my market they show the previous week’s episode, followed by the new one. And @toledo - you need to watch the paintball challenge.

This was the first time I agreed with the judges 100%. And the first time I was EMBARRASSED for an entire group of contestants. “High school” is right. Yikes.

I loved all of the winning group’s designs. They all looked well-made. Maybe because they had two days to accomplish it. The girls desperately needed some leadership. I thought Lorie and Ashley were not as high school as the rest, but none of the designs were good.

I’m embarassed for all of womankind…what a bunch of whiney, indecisive, lazy people. Couldn’t someone make a decision? or compromise? or stop being Soooooo superior? Their designs were awful, poorly made, and they just kept blaming somebody else. Ashley was picked on, but hooo, what a whiner. And Amanda…no, no, noooo. The guys are just as opinionated and bossy but they managed to collaborate! And Swampmil must be getting tired of almost winning…

Agree with everyone here… one of the lamest challenge in PR history. The guys plus one put together a fine collection, creative and beautifully put together, cohesive and well done. The girls collection if it can be called that was truly awful although I thought given the circumstances, Ashley’s was pretty decent, at least the top. Amanda deserved to go but so did several others. Wish they could have had two winners as to me it was toss-up between Edward and Swampnil, equally beautifully designed, creative and well done.
Kelly Osborne usually has a lot more to say… and of course she and Ashley did have matching hair.

The boys won because Blake didn’t get any paint on his jumpsuit. Their saving grace was the color pallette. Hard to take easter eggs and come up with stuff–the girls ruined their looks by using up the white fabric that they had.

Why do you think Ashley was picked last? It was pretty weird that after their team challenge win that Candice didn’t pick her.

Maybe she was harder to work with than Candice let on originally.
Maybe she picked Amanda first thinking she had .a sure loser if the team lost.

… or maybe she’s the shy fat girl not with the “in” crowd…

Until this episode, I found Blake very annoying. But I have a soft spot for him now since he told them they were “mean girls”.

Exactly. The mean girls didn’t choose the overweight girl.

Really? That seems so improbable in a setting like that! It seems like cliques would form around perceived talent, not weight. I’ve voting for the theory that Candice found her more difficult to work with than she let on (as someone suggested up thread) OR that there was some perception that Ashley was becoming undeservedly arrogant or something because of her wins.

If Candice viewed her as one of her primary rivals, it (sadly) did seem to turn out to be a fairly effective strategy to throw Ashley off her game (at least temporarily).

Anyway, I still find Blake incredibly annoying.

I find Swapnil handsome! Do you think those are colored contact lenses?

Ok, yes, Blake is definitely still annoying. But I dislike him less!

Yes, kudos to Blake for calling out the mean girls. And I loved the winning collection.

Amazing how Amanda after being in the bottom on every challenge feels it was unfair she’s being sent home. So glad to no longer hear the end of her whining.

The problem with choosing teams is that someone always has to be picked last. But in a talent competition it’s generally not the previous Winners left sitting. I would have bet Amanda would have been the last one chosen. If I was Ashley, I’d be feeling pretty excluded from the club.

Blake (who I find kinda annoying) gets the gold star for calling the girls out and supporting Ashley.

It was great to see the looks on the judges faces when they girls tried throwing Ashley under the bus. They weren’t having any of that nonsense.
