I too was afraid we’d see that as a winner in a challenge. As Zac would say…EDIT! And YELLOW? There are like 4 people on the planet who look good in yellow and none of them have Heidi’s coloring.
I believe the other judges would say Heidi has “taste issues”. But she always has. It must kill designers contemplating competing on Project Runway to think they’ll be judged by someone who wore that monstrosity! The Fug Girls website shows the dress from every hideous angle and eviscetates the choice in delightful terms–worth reading.
I did look it up and was amazed it was Versace - yikes. Glad it wasn’t a PR challenge winner. That said, it is time for a challenge where designers are tasked with red carpet or couture look. Maybe even a “real woman” challenge (though I always feel awkward for models of bottom designers.)

@madison85 yessssss! The beauty of dark skin, you can pull off a myriad of colors except browns, and pastels, they do nothing for me.

Yellow is not a good color for me in general.
With my Nordic skin, I can wear yellow for about one week in heat of summer when my skin takes on a beautiful bronze tone. Even in my favorite shade of blue, that Versace dress would look good on me.
I don’t believe they didn’t send Laurie home. Lindsey’s dress was bad but nowhere near as awful as that mess that Laurie made. And I was surprised that they picked Kelly’s outfit over Swapnil’s.
I felt very sorry for Laurie’s model having to walk down the runway with essentially everything hanging out. So I also can’t believe they didn’t send Laurie home. And I’m surprised that Swapnil didn’t at least make the top three. I’d say they were trying to teach him some kind of lesson, but the runway was supposedly anonymous, so I guess not.
I think it was time to put Lindsey out of her misery after being in the bottom 3 for several weeks in a row. While she seems like a lovely person, her designs were always weak. This experience was really detrimental to her self esteem and her self pity grew tiresome. Then again, Laurie’s dress was really a mess!
I agree that Swapnil deserved top three (over Kelly), if not the win.

I thought Laurie’s outfit was the worst, too. I loved her silver circle fabric and was expecting something fabulous.
Trying not to peek at the responses from last night. I’m a week behind! I’m not sorry to see Joseph go but was surprised that they got rid of someone when Jake left. That dog story had me in tars!! So sweet! I agree taht I wish there was a double winner that week. Also agree lets get back to some real designing.

How did Laurie NOT go home for that gawd-awful, burlap couch half done pirate inspired half naked METAL GROMMET “dress”. I can’t believe Tim didn’t save Lindsey. Laurie should do something to prove she deserved it, which of course won’t happen. Top three will be Edmund, Kelly, and the other girl with black hair – Swampnil and Ashley peaked early and are in the weeds…
I think they have more hope for Laurie than Lindsey, yet they sent Blake home for one awful bra. Go figure.
I didn’t like the light pink bottom of Swampnil’s. I felt for Lindsay she was right…the judge’s just weren’t into her aesthetic.
Laurie’s dress was awful, but Lindsey had landed in the bottom three times -and was not showing a lot of promise. If Laurie has been chosen to leave, I think Tim would have used the “save” on her. So, I actually prefer that she wasn’t chosen to leave - so that Tim still has the save in his pocket! Agree that the circle fabric was cool and what a shame for it not to get used better.
I agree that Swapnil should have been in the top 3 - over Edmund’s outfit perhaps. I do think Candice has a great style and skill. I actually agree with Zach P - Kelly’s green dress was really striking and I thought so beautiful!
This season seems to be going really fast!
My favorite show on TV. I don’t want any of the current people to go home. I cringe when I see the fabric someone bought, as it is hideous.
