Yes. I am very okay with tonight’s results.
Happy the last twin is gone. The workroom felt so much more relaxed and happy without them. Really all Claire had to do to stay within the rules was to wear the garment she wanted to measure to the workroom and measure it there. Not sure if it was arrogance or stupidity that made her decide to try and get around the rules.
Anyway I enjoyed the challenge tonight and loved the Best of Tim Gunn – he is a big part of why I still watch Project Runway.
I felt Michael did a good job of explaining himself since the judges seemed to be on the attack at the beginning and he was correct. Margarita just muddied the waters, though, with her accusation about being copied. I do think Michael was a little insincere voicing his regrets - what did he think would happen when he brought it up? The rest of the contestants seemed to agree anyway. though.
Didn’t care for the cupcake outfit the judges gushed over nor Margarita’s creation.
I actually liked all the outfits except the two that were sent home, and I agree with getting rid of Amy as she added nothing to the show, just boring safe outfits every week. I’m not usually a fan of avant-garde week, but these were fun. I liked the two that were safe more than Margarita’s, and definitely liked Kentaro’s white wedding dress better than Margarita’s. I loved the pink cupcake and wish it had won, and think it was the best for the toy company. It was out there.
I agreed with the two sent home. I could not see Amy’s for a child’s toy! The rest I did enjoy. I like some others better than the winner though.
The winner’s looked like there was a python inside the garment to me. The cupcake was fun but I was surprised they didn’t discuss the fact that her arms were not usable in that outfit.
Even with avant garde creations, I still want them to be attractive. Not all of them fit that bill.
Enjoyed this episode! I was about to give on up PR, but this season’s clothes redeemed the show for me. I’ve liked a lot of the pieces. If only the judges weren’t so boring. I miss Michael Kors.
Brandon’s little girl was so excited about chocolate. I really wish he had found a way to incorporate her wish.
As always, Tim Gunn was the ultimate gentleman.
I don’t think Brandon will be around much longer. His first few outfits were great. But they’ve all be the same-- endless layers. He has done pretty much the same silhouette for each and every challenge, and it’s getting really tired. And I agree-- he pretty much ignored the challenge and made what he wanted to make. It wasn’t avant garde, it was more of the same.
I agree, I loved Michael Kors, though I’m also a big Nina Garcia fan. I wasn’t at all impressed with Yolanda Hadid-- she was way too aggressive for a guest judge. Note to Yolanda: this isn’t the Real Housewives.
I don’t know, I suspect Brandon is getting the winner’s edit. He kind of reminds me of winner Sean Kelly (who made the multi-color rainway dress). The judges love him and whether you like his garments or not, they are different. I personally think Kentaro’s work is more interesting ,but will not be at all surprised if Brandon wins the whole thing.
My vote goes to Kentaro. I loved what he did for the large model; he made her look great and sexy. He was so sweet about asking for help.
Have we done our “picks?” I suspect the final three will be Kentaro, Brandon, and Margarita. And Brandon will win bc he is different. I love Kenya and Michael and Anaya but they won’t go to the end.
I think it might be Kentaro, Brandon and Michael, and I think Kentaro will win. Just my guess.
Sad news from a former PR contestant … Mychael Knight died yesterday at age 39. No cause of death announced, but it’s reported that he suffered from IBS for several years. He was my favorite that season and made it to Fashion Week.
So sorry to hear about Mychael Knight. He was one of my all-time favorites.
I agree! Mychael was talented and a genuinely NICE person… I remember him well ![]()

Mychael made the memorable coffee filter dress, still, in my opinion, one of the very best unconventional materials designs.
He also made a red outfit that was HOT!!!
Kentaro is my favorite. He has truly transformed as a designer throughout the competition. When he was at the bottom and judges asked him for more colors, he took their critique. I’m bored of Brandon’s straps. I can’t imagine how many different asymmetrical, scrappy, cropped, layered looks he will have during fashion week because let’s be honest, we all know he’s gonna make it.
