I find my favorites each week are usually “safe” and i often don’t agree with the winner (the blue pants suit was so COOL!). Such was the case this week! but the losers: i usually agree. the quality of work this year is really really good.
Yes, I liked the white pantsuit that was ‘safe’ so we didn’t see too much of it.
Didn’t much care for the winning design this week. Reminded me of a Luke Skywalker Halloween costume. As far as Django goes, let’s just say it was long overdue. I have to say that I’m just not feeling it this season. I think the hour long format is too compressed. Also, Alyssa Milano is no Heidi Klum.
I wanted to see more of Dimitri’s creation. It looked really well-made from the brief glimpse we got of it.
I did like the winning garment. It was true to the spirit of the challenge. Agree that the loser was out of his league and should have been gone long ago.
We were at the James Taylor/Bonnie Raitt concert on Wed. night :x so just watched PR last night. I agree with the eliminated designer (where was the innovation?? mosquito clothing??? that’s been around for ages). I thought Michelle should have won for being the most avant-garde. I love Anthony Ryan and his explanation for the garment was sweet, but you can get “plastic art smocks” at the hobby store.
Bravo is airing a marathon of Season 4, Christian Siriano’s season, today. Can’t believe that was 2007!
I guess they are trying to build up interest in the new season where Christian is mentor. Nice to see Heidi and Tim.
Bravo is airing ALL the seasons starting with season 1 - which happens to be the only season I missed. It will be interesting to look back at how the series started and evolved (devolved?) - my DVR is set and I feel a binge coming on!
I loved the Christian Siriano season!!! I will def record it. Thanks for the heads up.
Is anybody still watching? I kind of liked both designs that were in the bottom this week but guess the judges did not feel that they fit the challenge.
I didn’t think either of them deserved the bottom. I would rather any of the remaining girls go home before the boys that are left. I want Dmitri to win.
I also didn’t understand what the judges loved about the winning design.
Last night’s “climate change” challenge … I won’t be a spoiler this early and say who won or lost, but Dmitry should have been sent home. He didn’t follow the rules of the challenge to transform an outfit to cover two different weather conditions. He literally designed a dress, had the model carry a coat down the runway, and then put the coat on. If that’s a “transformation” then I do that every day! Sheesh.
I like the ‘Miami’ look the best and thought it fit the challenge and the weather transition given to the designer. Agree Dmitry’s was awful, and so was Sean’s Whistler’s outfit.

Me too. I’ve gotten to like all but one of them. I’m rewatching now, looking for the editing

That’s who I meant, Anthony Ryan. Knew it was Whistler. Anyway, it was dumb and ugly, not a ski outfit, not a sun outfit. Not a transformation outfit.

Just started binging All Stars - is anyone else distracted by the crazy amount of Botox present on judges’ panel? Everyone aside from Isaac looks frozen!
I suppose it’s not fair to compare, but Ann (mentor) falls flat when I think about Tim Gunn.
