Project Runway All Stars 2019

@rhododendron I thought she looked like Pebbles from the Flintstones in that dress! LOL
@JazzyTXMom, agreed on Django’s.

I was at a library function and forgot. When I woke at 4:30, I watched. I’m fine with the outcome. Django—well, I think the judges believe he has more talent than the one who was ousted. I thought the black velvet dress was so romantic, and that designer is my current favorite.

I saw the first part, then fell asleep and completely missed the runway. I did see the very end when they announced the winner and loser, but I didn’t see the actual designs on the models. Grrr.

I was watching from my hotel bed while on a business trip, and of course fell asleep. I often do this, then catch up by watching online, but the hotel’s WiFi wasn’t working! Headed home today and will catch up at home when my laptop is reunited with the internet!

It seems to me that Juli was out of her depth, so I can understand her being eliminated. That said, based on the dresses alone, that Django “lion” dress was by far the worst this week.

What did you you all think of Irina stirring the pot with her comment to Dmitry about Michelle “stealing” his technique?

I think she needs to mind her own business and spend her time making something that’s not a variation on a pod coat?

I really thought there would be more drama after the winner was announced because of the $5000 prize.

I am absolutely in love with the owl inspired look. If I still had the body from my 20’s , I could really rock that look!

Rarely do I like the outfits worn by Alyssa.

I think she voted out loud what everyone was thinking, even a judge.

Was Alyssa contractually obligated to select her fashions from their sponsor, JC Penney? She is in serious need of a stylist.

Dimitry and Michelle’s dress…if you’ve been watching PR for awhile, you might remember that Dom (female PR winner) also used that technique and I think Candace also - it’s a technique and he did not invent it. I thought the owl inspired look was the most effortless and chic look of the evening.

Allen Schwartz has built a company around knocking off (oops, I mean reinterpreting) dresses. There’s little in fashion that has not been done before. It did not seem that Dmitry was bothered by Michelle’s design.

I thought he was, cuz of his facial expressions, but he acted with decorum.

Dimitri wasn’t bothered…until it was brought to his attention. But yes, overall he handled it fairly well. It may kill his and Michelle’s “friendship”.

Reality shows “need” drama. The designers are too good for there to be much drama out of someone’s outfit being a train wreck, so they have to go a different route.

I finally watched the runway show that I slept through last week. I also loved the owl inspired outfit as well as the others in the top.

As for the bottom, I really did “get” giraffe from that design, but can’t help wondering how someone would be able to go to the bathroom with that zipper up the back! I really think that green thing should have gone home, although the loser was bad, too.

Few designs on the runway - any runway - are designed with practicality in mind.

Another Alyssa miss. Are shoulder pads back? Very Golden Girls.

I don’t want my gal to go home!! I could so wear her clothes

How old is Alyssa? No one over age 25 should wear those short, full skirts.
I agree with the judges that the loser had the worst look tonight, but usually I love her designs.

ETA: Just googled it. She is 46.
