Project Runway - new season

i didnt particularly like anya’s dress either…havent actually loved any of her things so far…but then that may be because i have a hard time believing her story that she only learned to sew about 4 weeks before she auditioned…

This show makes me really feel out of it in terms of clothes. While I liked Victor’s skirt, I thought the sheer, short sleeved blouse was ugly and old-ladyish (I swear my grandmother had something like it) and I really hated that color. In my eyes, it didn’t go at all with the color or style of the skirt. Shows what I know…

Anya’s dress gave me a migraine–way too much going on. I thought for sure she would be told she had to edit herself or that Heidi would step up and just rip off that horrid sleeve. And though it kills me to say it, Joshua’s LBD was perfection.

I had to laugh at Wretchen’s description of her Fashion Week collection: “simultaneously minimal and bohemian, romantic and modern, feminine and architectural.” She hasn’t lost any of that undeserved self-esteem, I see.

I really loved Viktor’s skirt, but the sleeves on the blouse seemed a bit ill-fitting. Anya’s dress was gorgeous, and I realized that she used silk chiffon which is really hard to work with. Kudos to her for making it happen in such a short period of time. I would have taken many more days to finish that garment. Olivier’s top, even in spite of his difficulties with curvy women, turned out beautiful. Reminded me of something very British.

re christian siriano… his line on spiegel is on sale right now

[Shop the Collection! at Spiegel.com](<a href=“Free XXX Movies, Hot Porn Videos, Best PornAnswer Tube on PornAnswer.com”>Hot XXX Movies, Best Sex Videos, Free PornAnswer Tube on PornAnswer.com)

Everything in Siriano’s collection is gorgeous!

Yikes - I ordered the black zipper suit. The jacket alone is lovely and we’ll see about the skirt. Thanks for the link P56!

P.S. Am I the only one who did not like the little black dress - the bottom was cute but the top front looked like an old bubba’s gooped up piece from the old country. I loved the pink dress best. Go figure.

you’re welcome hugcheck! i love that suit. keep an eye on spiegel, they have great sales just about every week! love their linen collections too. if you sign up for their email, they often have lunch time specials with very good deals

Oh my goodness. Oliver whining about his model not being a model size is getting on my nerves.

What a challenge! The winner really deserved to win. How that person did so much so well when others did little is amazing. The person who went home also really deserved to go home.

Olivier is such a SAD designer. Seriously sad. A lot of talent, but I swear the guy never smiles or looks like he’s enjoying himself. Happy to see him go.

After Oliver made that terrific fitted jacket a couple of weeks ago, how could he not make a decent shirt? To hear him talk, the guy was morbidly obese. (I guess if you are used to dressing skin and bones women, a man with a few extra pounds might seem obsese.) I have no use for a designer who shudders at the thought of dressing real people.

I loved that they were calling that one shirt “Pocahontas” because the minute I saw it I said to my D, “It looks just like that Indian halloween costume I made.” (Only my sewing was way better.)

Yes, I was glad to see Oliver go. I am thinking last nights winner should be the overall winner. There have been several challenges where his clothes were so much better than the rest as far as cut, design, and the sheer amount of work involved. There has been no one I have really been rooting for this season (like last years 2nd place winner who was robbed as far as I am concerned). But this guy is beginning to pull ahead of the pack as far as I am concerned.

Okay, so did anyone else not think that the bobby-pins Olivier had in the back of his hair were the final weirdness with that guy?! Those musicians were over the top polite, weren’t they?

Yes. They were patient and courteous. It was probably better to dress men than women…they had more of a “What ev” attitude.

So glad to see Olivier and his ridiculous (and presumably fake) mix of accents gone. I always thought he sounded as though he was trying to disguise a speech defect–or perhaps he mistook sounding like a young man from Ohio a defect in some way. His inability to understand that clothes are for people to wear bltick figures was unacceptable. If he wants to be an artist let him be an artist and make fabric art to display in galleries; to me he clearly he lacked the maturity or vision to work with people.

I thought the musicians were lovely–didn’t like their music but they were articulate and polite–some of the clothes even looked good on them.

Viktor is getting more and more likable, and Josh seems to be mellowing. I still like Bert though; he’s a grownup.

Olivier’s accent would change. He would either sound British or Asian. That’s why I think it was fake.

I loved that braided pleather. I admire people who can work fast and well. So glad Olivier is gone. His personality was rather disturbing, and it’s true he’s probably more of an artist than artisan. Previews of next week look like another disaster ahead. Can’t wait. :)

Speaking of Bert, he has become far more likable since the scene where Josh blew up at him. If I hadn’t seen the earlier episodes I would really be pulling for him. Quite a turnaround.
