When its good, it’s very very good. But when it’s bad, it’s a total train wreck!
I am also liking that some of the models from last year are back, and that there is a real mix of model body types all the time.
And watching Christian discover his mother hen side is kind of fun!
Totally agree, I barely saw any color or tie dye in Sergio’s dress…and yes, it was ver Jackie O.
Still can’t stand Sergio’s attitude.
It’s very clear the judges want to see Victoria’s collection in the end - they are keeping her around above others that more deserving. It’s fascinating how collaborative this year’s group has been…Geoffrey almost pitched his fabric last night, until Nancy told him it would dry much lighter (which it did).
Agree with the winner. Victoria should have been the one to go home.
Let me say, Leslie Jones needs to be a judge EVERY WEEK! Loved loved loved her!
Victoria’s look was awful! REALLY AWFUL!!! And she has had quite a few very bad weeks. Delvin’s was plain and boring but not awful. He seems to have kind of gotten lost the last few weeks. I knew they would save Victoria. Ugh! Both of them should have paid more attention during the demonstration.
Geoffrey’s dress was incredible. I don’t mind Sergio and I really liked his dress. Although preffered Geoffrey’s. Nancy’s fabric was beautiful. I couldn’t imagine staying up all night!!
Geoffrey would not have come up with that idea without a little nudge from Christian. He also told Nancy to get going on her top. If the contestants listened to him more, they could go further. Even at Moot, he offer hints about fabric choices. He’s turned out to be a gem
I thought Leslie Jones was distracting, trying to make it about her.
Just watched the show. The judges mentioned that they could see Michelle Obama wearing Sergio’s design, and I agree. I can definitely picture her in it. I thought this was a fun challenge to watch, and I like seeing the designers getting along versus some of the fighting in past seasons.
I think Geoffrey is great. He’s a real sweetie and so supportive of his fellow designers. He also seems to be one of the designers most likely to listen to Christian. He also doesn’t seem to have a clique but is friends with everyone.
Brittany seems a bit of mean girl but her ally was eliminated.
I feel sorry for Nancy and Sergio as it seems that the other designers don’t like them, but they seem to have their own friendship.
I thought Victoria’s outfit was terrible. I thought both bottom looks could have gone home, but really thought hers was way worse. But as they said, they are more interested in seeing more of her. Loved both Geoffrey’s and Sergio’s, and to me Nancy’s pants looked very similar to what she has shown before, but apparently they weren’t to the judges so that was good. I did like her outfit this time. Overall good looks and the two safe looks could have easily been top looks if the others hadn’t done such an amazing job.
I too am really loving Geoffrey. With his confidence growing and his anxiety in check, he has been producing some beautiful designs. I loved how supportive he was to Dayoung and wonder if that distraction impacted his work.
Hope he makes it to Fashion Week.
I hope,Sergio makes it too. His looks are usually among the top 3. Given the amount of editing they do, I wonder why he is so often presented in a negative lot. Nancy, well, I like that she represents an older old group and that’s she is a philly gal, who has helped immigrant women. But her timing is usually off, she doesn’t take suggestions, and I don’t think a show of 10 pants outfits will help. That said, I am always in pants.
I really liked Delvin at the beginning of the season - thought he might make it to top four. He’s a great craftsman and could probably be a very successful designer for real world people. Unfortunately, he’s not a Project Runway winner. His clothes, while well made and very wearable, aren’t innovative enough for the show.
While I liked Sergio’s dress I also agree on my end that it was hard to really see the yellow. I sort of felt it didn’t FULLY embrace tie-dying??? It was so subtle while it was pretty, it sort of slighted the challenge - from tv view anyway.
I actually didn’t mind Victoria’s design except that weird shorts layer. Was it winning or great? NO. But the losing look was sloppy and BASIC.
And to be honest I think it came down to exactly what one of the judges said = whick of the bottom two do you most want to see a collection from? Victoria’s history shows more creativity, edgy looks, etc. than Delvin IMO.
I admit she has has a bad streak - after a very good streak. Delvin has been very “meh” in my opinion.
Super happy for Jeffery.
I would like to see Nancy make it to Fashion Week. I am a pants gal too. I really like many of her designs and who she represents.
It was so obvious that Victoria should have gone home on the tie dye challenge. It wasn’t even close.
I am sure she can make a great collection, but she has failed like 3 of the challenges (she just does what she wants). Why even have the challenges in the first place?
There really was no justification for her mostly denim (not the challenge!) awful, sad superhero, get-up.
Ask any of the judges which outfit they would wear in public. I guarantee all would pick Delvin’s dress over Victoria’s mess.
We all know the judges and producers have their favorites and put people through even though they should have gone home. But there is no way that with a straight face, they could justify Victoria’s not going home. Brandon called it a denim diaper - that is fashion?
So disappointed in the show…
I like that tonight the judges sent the clients off before really critiquing the looks. I have hated in the past when they had a “real” woman challenge and the talked about ill fit and style in front of them.
Agree about sending the “real” women off. I was not surprised by the outcome.
Judging solely on tonight’s design, I thought Brittany was the worst. Her dress was very ordinary imo. I also thought the tiny girl’s dress could have been more sophisticated.
Ditto to what musicmom wrote. I was surprised that no one was sent home. All the women seemed so happy with their outfits, so clearly their wishes were met. I agreed with nancy’s Win. She definitely has her own viewpoint and she isn’t stuck, like Victoria (cut outs, asymmetrical).
