Project Runway

I am happy that no one was sent off. The bottom four all had issues, but none were glaring. I think it is funny that Victoria complains that no one was eliminated. Of all people!! I didn’t love Sergio’s look and I found it surprising that he is so unaware that woman are no longer covering up their baby bumps. I agree that the tiny girls dress could have definitely been more sophisticated. The athletes were fabulous, but all would have been hard to dress.

I really liked Sergio’s dress. I thought it could have been a little tighter, especially in the bodice, but it flowed nicely and looked great on his “client.” But then, I agree with his comment, “Why would any woman want to wear tight clothes.” I hate tight clothes, especially tops.

My D grew up in the era of wearing tight clothes. She said it made them look smaller. I told her it made them look like they had gained 10 pounds and outgrown their clothes!

I’m also not a fan of wearing layers. I just don’t like the feeling of being constricted. I don’t mind the way it looks, just feels uncomfortable for me.

Waited until I had caught up on the last episode before reading the latest posts. Given that they had made such a big deal about ‘honoring’ the athletes being the goal, asking the designers to ‘push’ their clients to be more adventurous put the designers in a bind: if they pushed their client & their client hated the outcome but the judges loved the outfit, would they still be safe? They all chose client > judges, so (in the absence of any real ‘fails’), having no one go home seems reasonable. Also, just watched the After Show bit, and it turns out that all of the athletes were seriously happy with their outfits & advocating for nobody to go home.

Bonus (from the pov of the show, obvs) is that there will be high drama next week when 2 people leave. If I were to bet, I’d say Victoria & Geoffrey will be safe. Next most likely Marquise. Then Sergio. Brittany and Nancy. Thoughts?

Definitely think Geoffrey and Victoria in the top four. My GUESS for the other two would be Sergio and Brittany.

Seraglio and marquise. I think they wanted at least me woman in the finals. I’d like to see what Nancy can do.

I thought Brittany’s dress was awful! That see through piece of “fabric” in the clevage area looked like what I with no sewing skills would do if I needed to cover up there.

I think that Sergio has been repeating a lot of the same style. The long flowy dress - over and over. Yes, it flows nice but I feel like that is on repeat.

Really overall Nancy had the most creative outfit and the others were mediocre. The tiny athlete - I still thought she looked like she had on a dress for a 10 year old.

I actually do kind of not like when everyone is safe. I understand Victoria’s reaction just from the point of view of when they do that, it was sort of a wasted challenge. They all end up in the same spot at the end.

I thought it was funny that Victoria - who has been saved on more than one occassion - had that reaction! (BTW, I thought her one-trick-pony dress looked cheap.)

I agree that there were no epic fails (certainly not compared to other challenges), that since it was a kinda “real woman” challenge (meaning not models), and all the athletes were happy, I was good with no one being eliminated.

I think this athlete challenge should have been a challenge earlier in the season. With what 5-6 people left we/they should be taking each challenge seriously and be designing their brains out. To have a challenge this late in the game that doesn’t count does not make sense.

I think eliminating two contestants on the avant-garde challenge is rough! That has tripped up a lot of very talented designers in the past.

Based on tonight’s show, I think the judges picked the right final four.

Why do they favor Victoria so much?

Based on the challenge I think they picked the right final four. For whatever reason my favorite is Sergio. He is super conceited, but I like what he makes. I don’t think he will win because I don’t think Nina likes him at all. I really like Geoffrey, but his anxiety makes me uncomfortable.

I suspect Victoria will win and we will have no idea how she managed it. Her collection will be just ok, but the judges will rave about it. Kind of like the woman who won years ago with the very ugly pastel collection.

Yes, she made things for plus-size women, and I always thought that’s why she won - so PR could prove it doesn’t discriminate against plus size fashion.

I also think that’s why Nancy might win - because she’s the oldest contestant and PR wants to show it doesn’t discriminate against oldsters

Personally I’m rooting for Geoffrey… because I like his clothes and because he seems like a legitimately nice person.

Rooting for Geoffrey as well!

Geoffrey or Sergio. The former is the nice guy and the latter is such a good tailor.

Geoffrey could really use the mentoring part- Victoria & Sergio won’t listen to it.

I think we have 4 designers with unique to each and unique against each other. We will have 4 very different collections I think.

I personally was not a fan of Nancy’s last design. I like her but I don’t know if I’m often on board with her clothes.

I think it’s fair game for any of them to win.

I def agreed with Brittany NOT making it to the final four.

And I still for whatever reason, really enjoy Victoria. She reminds me of some of my European family!!

I flew out for vacation a few days ago and my seat mate looked a lot like Sebastian Grey! It wasn’t him.

Watching final, and have no favorite so far
