Psat 2012 saturday

@andrew thanks
Well the author used mostly vivid descriptions of the scenery(i think that was one of the answers), my approach was that she was connected to the nature as a whole, instead of “sitting at a desk and being isolated from the world”, thought of the chord as simply a metaphor.

again, Chewy, it was not about being part of society (I thought atleast). I thought it was more about walking → harmony with nature, as in trees and stuff not people.Classic trick question by getting people to put social harmony, like I said above, because of the word harmony’s association with music and the fact that the excerpt referenced was about the “chord” and “3 notes hitting together”

Oh and about the writing question with the painting was it painted 80 years ago or was it had painted 80 years ago? I don’t know why I was getting confused on this question…

@Ilikepie, the measures question? You mean the one that had an answer “measured”?

oh well…im just annoyed that i had d for formally instead of formerly and i changed it to no error in the last minute -_-

I also had the question about the lady that did whatever, and she was known for whatever…
Was that incorrect or should it be used in conditional? I think the portion was “would be known as”

@Siemprell errm actually I think I meant the literary analysis question lol

@Ilikepie Sorry I have an extremely bad memory when it comes to answers to tests. But what was the question?

What would my scores be for:

math 2 wrong, 0 omit
writing 1 wrong, 0 omit
critical reading 3 wrong, 3 omit

what are the definite no errors right now?

@omgwthbbq according to the PSAT booklet, 203.

The 80 year painting one had to be in the pluperfect tense because it was talking about him finishing a task 80 years ago. So the right answer has to be “had depicted.”

What are some definite answers that we have right now?

i put just “depicted”

Did anyone get the last grid in math question?

Sent from my HTC One X using CC

what about the tv one with the word measure?
was it to establish validity or determine the meaning?
and what about the word mantle?
appearance? or CRUST? lolz

appearance, and 1350 for the last math question… im pretty sure

What about in the writing section the one about Mozarts book? Was it no error?
Also, the last question, about “for that reason” was it A- leave it as it is?

@loljk i think it was determine the meaning( not that i remember the question clearly, but I remember that I had some sort of answer like that)

i said delete it… it kind of went off topic since it first explained the male research results then the advising then the female research results
