Psat 2012 saturday

@tall I agree with you on “had depicted” q. nice explanaton

@loljk can you elaborate on that TV q, I vaguely remember it…and I too would like to know the mantle Q. I put appearance

same for that reason is so awky

@jkang909: wasn’t it 1050?
because it was basically looking for (x+y)^2 and it gave you x^2 +y^2, and xy.
so you had to add the two together, and it was like 1050.

it was like talking about how kids comprehend reading and the measure of sentences or something. and i thought it was either determine the meaning or establish the validity

For the passage on india. What was the girl’s attitude question?

@jkang I thought it was leave the same. pretty sure this was discussed before in this thread and consensus was it is same. it was proving colorful example of a fact. don’t just want to state fact after fact etc. and it was very pertinent to the sentence before it.

@siemprell For Mozart, I think I made a change to it although I can’t remember what it was. For some reason letter E is hitting me but all I remember is I made a change, something so the writers that wrote about him used the parts that supported their theory etc.

@Siemprell The question was referring to the tv/reading passage and asked what the meaning of “literary analysis” is based on the passage. I put the meaning, but I’ve heard people say it was skepticism?

it 1350, it said xy=300 and x^2 + y^2 = 750 and you were looking for (x+y)^2

so factor out into x^2 + 2xy+ y^2 and plug in 300 for xy
and get x^2 + 600 + y^2 and then plug in 750 for
x^2+y^2 and get 600 +750 = 1350

i put that literary attitude was something with skepticism.

@jkang909 Well. It wouldn’t make sense then to say only the female research but not male.

@itzChewy: dam, your right. how did i miss the 2xy D:

definitely skepticism because the author implies that people should not agree with everything they read and be able to discern and be “skeptical” of the truth in what they read.

in the female male question you do not delete the results of the male research because it listed the results of the female research too

CR - 4 to 6 wrong, 1 omitted
M - 0 to 2 wrong
W - 2 to 4 wrong

Score predictions? I’m hoping to break the 200 mark…

its ok dkimo96 i changed so many answers and they were right before -______________-

idk i thought it interrupted the flow from male to female research results but i guess i read it too fast

@andrew, for mozart one. The last one got eliminated by me because it used semicolon and said by selecting and… as a dependent clause. If i remember correctly, sentences joined by semi colon should be able to stand on its own?

jacobjay i would say

CR: 68-72
M: 74-80
W: 66-72

@loljk exactly. I agree with skepticism

@iTzChewy, thank you! Hopefully my estimations are correct, haha.
