**PSAT Discussion Thread 2015**

I’m a sophomore and I got 1460, and a 221 selection index. I don’t know if its me or the test, but my score is a lot better- last year I got a 201.

@JuicyMango Sorry, the post on the previous page saying that the CA cutoff would be at least 219, even 221, got me scared.

I hope you’re correct!

Kentucky @mkumar17

Google and read the student guide for for NM. You’ll see you answered questions on the PSAT about how many years your plan to spend in grades 9-12. Relax… 4 is the most common answer.

I’ve been wondering the same. I’m very curious to see the highest score with an asterisk so far, but no responses.

yep yep yep yep, YOU SIR ARE A MIND READER!

hey ,

does any one have the problem where if I try to see the national percentile or any additional info other than my score, it says it’s not available?

thanks

Did anyone here get a 190 with an asterisk next to it?

I got no asterisk
1380
740m
640cr/w
202 SI

@GrandBudapest The highest cut-off last year was a 223/240, so I highly doubt it would be a 220+/228 the more I think about it. If 99th percentile truly did stretch to scores even in the 1300’s, that means your score is in the upper 99th percentile, so you’re bound to qualify.

An asterisk means that you are not eligible for the NMS program, because you either didn’t meet the entry requirements, or didn’t fill them out on the test booklet. A way to remedy this is to mail you information to the NMS office (details and address are on the college board website)

wait asterisks were given?

@penngirlpending Since you got a 192, did you see an asterisk next to your score on the report?

Just to be clear, nobody really knows what the cutoffs will be come September. We are all making educated GUESSES. So please don’t assume what you are told here will hold true. We just do not know this year. (Sorry to be a spoil sport).

I just wish there was some way to get a more realistic view than on CC where people are bound to have good scores. It seems like it would make sense for the cutoff scores to go down, but so many people are reporting scores so high (and saying that more people in their schools than usual are getting 99th percentile) that it seems almost unrealistic to expect any drop in the cutoffs

After reviewing the thread, I realize my score is relatively low :)) but I got a 1320, no asterisk.

@lamebridge What was the SI for your score?

@YoohooAddict 205

I think the asterix has more to do with eligibility requirements other than the score itself, (like being a junior vs. sophomore), but am not sure.

An asterisk just means you didn’t quailfiy for nm this year- aka you were a sophomore or freshman
