My guess - as of the time when you logged in, the result has not been uploaded/saved to the result server/database. Just like other schools, like PSU, I believe results are uploaded to the server in batches, and usually for students applying to the same major/school. It’s probably just the batch for that major, e.g. CS, has yet to be uploaded.
BTW, not having the bar doesn’t mean the chance is lower - the school may have the decision already and just has not uploaded the result yet. I also somehow feel that some colleges put a group of students with super high stats into a pool of ‘sure-admit’, then put aside, and will only touch this pool toward the end.
My D25 is OOS, applying for Econ, 1460 SAT, 3.96 UW, 12 AP/DE classes, very good ECs, average essays, has no thin bar. I thought she had a good shot at Purdue, so hoping portal astrology is wrong about missing the thin bar means deferral/rejection.
It’s clearly not by major, we’ve seen people with missing bar and otherwise with same major.
We’re trying to figure if results are being uploaded in an order based on decision.
The tech you explained is well understood, it’s pretty elementary stuff.
