Purdue University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

They do admit a lot of in state. but there are cheaper-still options in state so they know what kind of yield they can expect from that admit rate. When this Fall’s enrollment went off the rails, the yield underestimate was on the OOS side. they hit on their estimate on in-state enrollment.

They are letting go of great OOS students though with the tuition freeze.

per last year’s trend, when does the thin bar come back for everyone?

We had the exact same experience with the portal tonight.

Those are static pages, you can access them without any credentials; they don’t mean anything.

im worried ill get into my 2nd choice (applied physics)
i want engineering more than ever now
id prefer a defer than accepted to 2nd choice

You can transfer into engineering if you meet the requirements after 1st semester ( according to rep that came to my HS)

Would love to hear if you had the thin bar/no thin bar with results. This has been a mystery!

portal astrology confirmation tomorrow

That’s historically been very difficult. Many majors close to even internal transfers and it can be difficult to get into the required courses as a non FYE.

The thinner Status bar has reappeared for me.

I got the thin bar for the first time

Me too. Changed within the span of 2 hrs (last time I logged in)

has anyone gotten late bar and not CS major? i (avg. stats) applied FYE and had early bar, friend (above avg. stats) applied CS and had late bar

My son also can see the thin bar now! Not sure what that implies now.

is he CS or FYE

or well something else

FYE, ChemE

Thin bar back now.

eeeeeek! disproves my theory of late bar people being CS applicants. now i’m scared, seems like late bar is a good sign then considering how many high stats people have late bar

Does anyone see anything different/new in the portal at this point after the bar has returned?
I scanned through everything and it looks exactly as it was before.
Purdue has decided to not give away anything before formal decisions are rolled out.

Guys, please suggest some theory… going crazy lol
