Scanning the posts and counting the replies - it seems late bar folks listed high stats but this is just based on what people posted!
Scheduled batch jobs I guess. Donāt think anyone is manually updating stuff.

Thereās a huge sampling bias with less than 20 odd people reporting stats here among 60K applicants. Need some better signs.

I have the thin bar now too. I did not have it earlier today and do not notice any other new changes in the portal.
I got the thin bar tonight and am FYE.
Some interesting trivia for those who canāt sleep tonight.
Last yearās thread had 990+ posts until day before the decision date. This year has been much quieter, even with many more applicants.
Portal astrology signs did create a massive hysteria last yearā¦ lolā¦

Huh, is it possible this year the box appearing later is a sign for admits this year. If so that means purdue IT switched things up from last yearās trends.

Just saw the thin tan bar for the first time. CS OOS, ACT 35, 13 APās (7 5ās + 6 more to take in May), 17 DEs (MVC, Diff. Eq, Linear Algebra, DM I/II, Data Structure, etcā¦), USACO Platinum, AIME. UW 3.97, W 4.65. Good luck to everyone!

Do we know if anyone who got it DIDNT have the bar disappear and reappear? Iām high stats but Iāve always had the bar and Iām starting to get scared
Nothing here that is said is proved, like mentioned earlier, everything is just speculation, we really donāt know how they input decisions or whether there is a pattern at all. Just stay positive and donāt scare yourself!
They may be updating based on surnames, names, location, age
its honestly too random for us to figure out and theres like a few hours left anyway

No need to think too much about the ābar disappearingā thing - IT may have it for a very short period of time to test on a small number of applications, and it may also happen when you didnāt login to check.
