My bar was only gone for like 12 hours. Very possible you missed it going away. Things could have been updated by admissions counselor too which could explain timing
FYE here with a 3.8 GPA , 1480 (770math) SAT, bunch of AP’s all 5’s , max rigor, good ec’s

Just a Mom waiting “patiently” for her daughter to update me! Lol! What is this “bar” that everyone is talking about. I can have her check. She applied in early October with a 3.96 UW GPA and a 4.36 W and 1440 SAT. She is in-state, applying for AI in College of Science. Good luck everyone!!!

My advice…Ignore the bar thing. It’s fun, but silly at this point. Decisions will be out soon.

There is a magic 8-ball thin tan bar. In the past, if the bar disappeared and appeared quickly, it could have indicated acceptance but this year, based on very limited data and if you read the posts, it seems that people with high stats saw the bar disappear and appear much later, leading folks to think those are the ones with acceptances. No clue if this is real or not. Only causing more anxiety

Regarding the bar disappearing and reappearing late happened last Purdue early decision cycle, doesn’t appear to be a good sign for high stat students. Go to the Purdue early action thread for 2024 and READ through pages 800-830 (especially page 830). Hope the results are different, good luck everyone.
Might be reversed this year. I would be very very surprised if someone from my school that apply CS w below 50% stats got in (got tan box a few days ago)
