Purdue University Early Action for Fall 2025 Admission

i have a 3.8 UW , great rigor, 1480 with a 770 in math, great ec’s including internship and leadership and founder of 2 companies

am i high stat?
my tan box disappeared and reappeared early (2 days ago)

tbh theres really not much point in debating the meaning of the tan box when its so close to when decisions release

Yeah but im just sooo nervous I couldnt sleep, purdue is my top choice and could be a indicator of where I am for other school decisions

So it looks like now everyone has the thin tan bar now? That means they have uploaded all of the decisions I guess!

The change major link and reply forms (loci and business forms) appearing are the “more reliable” signs last year.

The change in the appearance of the portal just signals that the result has been uploaded. Who knows in what order they uploaded the results this time.

Goodluck to everyone!

Edited to add: My D24 is in Purdue right now. She has met fellow students who have 3-digit SAT scores, as well as students with perfect SATs and GPAs.

Around what time will they announce the decision?

Decisions started last year at 1pm PST/4pm EST. They released acceptances first.

If they fixed the LOCI and change major issues then they probably also accounted for the way they upload the decisions, and made sure they don’t do it in a predictable way.

I don’t think there is much of a correlation this time with the bar appearing and decision but we’ll know in a few hours

I dot think u are high but probably norm to accepted students especially if u are in state. I consider 1550+ sat and 4.0 gpa hight

This is very dependent major. A 25% percentile cs or fye applicant could be considered as a 75% percentile applicant for other schools/departments.

Hence the norm

is FYE on par with CS in acceptance rate

I misunderstood what you said

I think FYE has a higher acceptance rate, but I would say both are hard to get into especially OOS

is a 1560, 4.0 oos a safe enough score where I wont be rejected due to my grades

Nothing is ever safe for US applications imo.

for CS / AI

Wrong reply

Nothing is ever safe for US applications imo but your stats are in the bracket so you have a chance.

You will NOT be rejected due to your stats, they’re awesome. If you’re deferred (or rejected) it’ll be because they had too many strong applicants, or they needed a more balanced m/f ratio, or more students from the west coast, or for any other reasons beyond your control. You did what you needed to do, and you did very, very well. The rest is unfortunately out of your control. Good luck, you’ll do great wherever you go!
