I just activated mypurdue portal to see if I qualified for any FA. Was this only supposed to be done for admissions acceptance?

I’m a Miami of OH grad…loved it!! Congrats to your daughter!

True. Missing out on honors isn’t the end of the world.

Same stats as my HS senior…including three 5’s on AP exams and two 4’s. Also rejected FYE.

Not really disappointed about no honors since heard it is marginal (most students are for good dorms), but disappointed with no merit. This makes Purdue less attractive to us if she gets into other good schools (Many EA results will be announced by end of this month plus RD results in March).

Same. OOS FYE. No merit.

Child got deferred by Purdue but accepted into UT Austin for ECE.

Rejected cs oos with a 1600 and a 3.81, solid ECs. Does anyone feel this is worth an appeal?

Is scholarship offer on the Letter of Admission?

Doesn’t hurt. Do it.

They probably think your child won’t attend, with this outstanding stats. They want to protect their yield. Good news is coming!

I hope you can feel proud. You did the work. This is disappointing, too, I know.

My son got admitted today. He’s keen on MechE. Could you share any insights on what is the probability of acceptance at the end of Year 1 into a high demand major like MechE?

I am the child, and I would definitely attend. But do you really think it was some sort of yield-protection? I saw a lot of people get deferred rather than rejected

My son got the opposite result.
