Back in the stone ages, but when TSA already existed, I was flying to SJC⊠to my horror, I arrived at the airport, parked the car, walked up to the checkpoint with my printed at home boarding pass, and couldnât find my driverâs license! The TSA officer was very nice⊠they looked at my Costco Amex with my blurry pic on it, saw that I had a bunch of other credit cards in the same name, and waved me through! The airport was not busy at all! Lol I would not try to pull this off now.

In 1982, I went on a ten day trip to Quebec and the northeastern U.S. states. I crossed the border three times. I didnât have my license because I had left it in my jeans pocket when I went to the bar the night before I left, and I didnât bring those jeans on the trip. I canât imagine how that would have worked today!
Yeah, they really grilled us when we came back to the US from Canada.
