Ok, I know I am out of the demographic that the networks care about…I get that…

But I thought we could start a list of the shows we LOVED that the networks decided to give the hatchet to: I will split between old and new…(and, btw, nodes anyone know where Alcatraz is and if it is still alive? Nm just found it…ugh

New Shows cancelled that we loved:

Awake
Alcatraz
Gifted Man

Old: One Life To Live (sorry to the haters, but when you are following something for 40 yrs on and off it kinda becomes entrenched in your psyche)

Awake - this is news to me! Bummer!
Alcatraz - really? Shoot
Gifted Man
Lost-not on point but m lost without it
The River-anyone know if cancelled?

Rodney, I was ranting last night about this, too. Very unhappy about Alcatraz, Awake, A Gifted Man, Harry’s Law. Loved all those shows and had actor friends on the last two so doubly unhappy about those!

kpatter, if The River wasn’t cancelled, I have lost all respect for the tv-watching public. I watched the premiere and it was quite possibly the worst thing I’ve ever seen on tv.

I am having a crappy year for TV. Awake is gone, Desperate Housewives is gone (but at least we knew that was coming,) Make it or Break it is gone (yes, I watched THAT show). I am sick of greys and private practice and have stopped watching, and I am pretty much all out of shows besides New Girl and Vampire Diaries…

I still haven’t forgiven ABC for Pushing Daisies or The Deep End. I loved both of those.

I don’t know if anyone watches Family Guy, but they have a really funny clip where they go through every show (or maybe it was every good show) that Fox had cancelled since Family Guy had been on the air. It goes on for quite a while and they’re literally just reading names.

Ok…advice here: for those of you mourning Desperate Housewives, and are sick of Grey’s and Private Practice, please try Scandal on the ABC online player; season 1 is 7? Episodes and has been renewed; my H and I both love it; and it is based on a true person in DC…

That’s too bad about The River. I don’t know what people found so offensive about the first episode??? I watched the whole first season and thought it was pretty good. Not mind-blowing, but watchable.

As for cancelled shows, I have to second Firefly. What an amazing show that did not last nearly long enough. I have the first and only season on DVD and I have watched it several times. I made my parents watch the first few episodes and now they have also watched and rewatched the show.

Also, Freaks and Geeks! After Firefly, this is probably my favorite show of all time and it also only lasted a season. :(

hyper, my boyfriend is in love with Firefly. I got him the season and Serenity on DVD for Christmas. My father is also hooked on the series now.
