<p>D just rec’d email from CPSLO, accepted to Business School for Fall '08. Yeah! she’s out of town so I had to call her with good news</p>
<p>Do you think people will be receiving acceptance/rejection letters on Saturday and Sunday, or is it just business days?</p>
<p>well the server is down, so i guess we’ll all be waiting until monday?</p>
<p>My son received an email acceptance yesterday (Friday, March 7) for the business school (econ). His stats:
W GPA: 4.18
UW GPA: 3.72
ACT: 33</p>
<p>I got accepted to CalPoly’s Class of 2012 too! Yay, I’m so thrilled.</p>

<p>I got accepted into Cal Poly yesterday!

<p>I’m also waiting to hear from Cal Poly. I’ve heard that admissions are sent out reverse-alphabetically (starting from Z). I don’t know if that’s true, but it seems to make sense so far; I know a couple of people with M and R last names that have been notified, and I’m still waiting with a B last name

<p>A friend of mine with a last name starting with H got in already and I got in yesterday. My last name starts with a T.</p>

<p>Yeah, but I don’t think they do it by school either, a lot of my friends have heard already and we go to the same school.</p>
<p>Oh who knows… I just wish they’d tell us already. Or at least tell us WHEN they were going to tell us. Haha. They’re doing an awful trip on my nerves by making me check back every few hours! :P</p>

<p>what i think they are doing is, notifying the top X number of applicants (according to the formulas), then later notifying the middle X, then the last X batch…</p>
<p>this makes sense. because i know arch majors who have wayy better stats than me, and have gotten in. and then those who are just a little bit above me…i’m pretty sure they will do one last batch of applicants…</p>

<p>My stats when I applied were:
3.3 GPA
1140 SAT
600 and 610 SAT II
26 ACT
- held leadership position
- 25% of work related to major
- I forget the exact numbers but about 10-15 hours per week
- 250+ CC hours total</p>
<p>It’s a pretty small major. It’s impacted but by no means as impacted as architecture or business. When I met with the head of the department last year he said there were roughly about 400 spots in RD available and maybe 125 or so for ED. You know what those numbers could be completely wrong but that’s just what I think I remember. </p>
<p>Is that what you applied for? I know a few people who are at CP right now with this major and they LOOOOVE it. Everyone recognizes it as a “fun” major that leads you into a lot of incredible internship/career possibilities straight out of Cal Poly. Yay! :)</p>
