RD Acceptance Notification?

When did you find out - have not heard yet!!

Did you have lots of AP’s/ Honors courses? I did apply in that major - similar stats to you.

she was admitted ed so if you applied rd and have similar stats… i’m sure you’ll get in

At the risk of sounding really dumb - what is rd and ed?

it’s not dumb. sorry, i was just too lazy to type it all out.

rd is regular decision
ed is early decision

:( I’m so nervous you guys! I have lame stats, but it seems like extras are counting a lot more than I thought they would. I’m kind of banking on not being let in. Especially since I got waitlisted at SDSU. But then again, they don’t look at anything other than SAT/GPA. Ugh. I don’t know. I just wanna know! I don’t wanna deal with this false hope! I’m feeling discouraged :(

gunsandbutter, there’s still hope. i know of people that are still waiting for admissions too. what are your stats? and don’t worry about SDSU… i know people that were rejected there and other state schools… that got in at poly

if i already got in at sdsu, do you think i should get in at cal poly?

can’t say for sure… because you never know… but according to your stats, i’d say you have a great chance.

a 3.23, SAT 1900, ACT 28. I think. Or 29. Wow, it takes some serious senioritis to forget your ACT score. :</p>

I was kind of encouraged by someone who posted here earlier who had similar stats and got into business… but I still don’t wanna keep my hopes too high.

The only things I’m banking on are my volunteer hours and work experience; I have oodles of both. I applied for psychology, and all my work relates to my major, which I hear is good… but yeah I don’t know. And maybe the fact that I come from a really hardcore high school, but I’m sure that doesn’t count for as much as I want it to. It’s definitely a reach for me and I’m fully aware of it. But hey, even if I don’t get in… road trips to SLO next semester! ;)

you should be a good candidate for psychology…it’s in humanities, so the expectations are a bit lower compared to business or architecture.

i’d say you are in! but like you said, you can never get your hopes up too high, just in case…
but i would say you will probably get in. ;]

Well thanks dude. It’s always a comfort to hear things like that. Ultimately I’ve come to the realization that college is going to be a blast no matter what. I’m in at Monterey and SF State, which is cool and a little bit closer to home. Yeah… if SLO doesn’t want me and SDSU’s wait list doesn’t want me either, It’s SF or bust for me.

I’ll keep you in my admission prayers dude ;P

hahah thaaanks

yeah san francisco (area) is amazing. i like it tons more than down in southern california. sf state would be so incredibly awesome! i wish they had my major.

and i am basically in at univ. of oregon, so that would be cool too. you are right though, college is fun wherever you end up at…

I’m kind of scared. I got into SDSU back in december on RD because of my “high GPA and SAT scores”. And now I’m hearing about people getting in for business, but I haven’t got my decision yet.
My GPA/SAT isn’t horrible either.
GPA - 3.82W (Fresh. - Junior)
SAT - 1910
Work is related to field
I’m also instate.

They better not keep me waiting till April 1st, that’s all I can say.

And who8me… I think you’re in. Don’t worry too much.

who8,
For Cal Poly disregard your fresh grades, but add in your senior mid-year to get the gpa they are looking at. They will also boost you for related work. Good luck

-sara

Wait, should you send them a mid-term transcript, even if they didn’t ask for it?

Got my acceptance the other day, going into Biochemistry
ACT 27
SAT 1920
GPA 4.35
Does anyone know when they start sending out financial aid and scholarships?

I didn’t think SLO wanted transcripts unless they asked. They made a big point on that in there application material.

don’t send your mid-term transcript, unless they ask.

and your financial aid package will be available through the my cal poly portal on april 1st
