RD Acceptance Notification?

sara, i’m assuming you haven’t gotten in yet either?

I don’t check. Not really sure why.

-sara

YOU SHOULD CHECK! that way others (i.e me!!!) can see how we stack up! haha!

;]
no pressure or anything. haha

Sorry, I’m one of those types that pile up all envelopes from admissions until every school is accounted for and then open 'em all.

-sara

wow…that’s crazy. temptation would kill me.

ahhhh i just wish i could know already!!!

Thanks all for the Congratulations.

Jackh27 ~ hang in there… yesterday lots of Engineering folks heard and our friend didn’t hear until today. I have a good feeling for you and you are right, your stats and my son’s are very similar.

thankkss! i still have hope!!! :]

yeah that is so cool that your son got in…i know that he was sort of riding on that decision. :S

He most definitely was. He got into SDSU with Construction Engineering but as you know, only applied Arch to Cal Poly. Actually he applied to Cal too but would probably have gone to Cuesta over Cal as it is too close to home and not really him. He is way more Cal poly laid back, beach.

I’ll check here tomorrow. gotta run… keep the faith, it is almost over!

yeah that’s basicallly how i am.

i would much rather have the sun and the beach at cal poly, than the rain and gloom at univ. of oregon. but whatever. it’s architecture…

The eligibilty index for ACT takers is GPA x 200 + 10 x ACT (superscored)

ohhh is it really?

Kluge; Are there any offsets in the formula for school rigor? My HS is college prep and VERY difficult. I have a 29 ACT, 3.5 UW and rank 56 out of 80. My sister went to a local HS was 13 out of 220 and a 3.9 gpa. Her SAT was 940 (math+verbal). Surely admissions knows that gpa’s very widely.

lakeside, do you think you will get into the arch program at slo?

517, The CSU’s (and UC) weight up to 8 semesters of honors and/or AP, IB, or dual enrollment college courses, so that takes rigor into consideration somewhat. If you’ve taken those courses your “UC/CSU GPA” could well be 3.8 or higher. But I don’t think they weight different high schools GPA’s differently based on general rigor of the school, although they could, at least as to California high schools. The statewide CSU administration tracks the performance of students from different California high schools at each CSU, and you can tell which high schools grade harder by comparing the HS GPA of their graduates against their freshman GPA at CSU campuses. If a given high school’s students have high high HS GPAs but lower CSU GPA’s, their don’t grade hard in high school - and vice versa. So CSU has the data, but I don’t think they use it. (Your excellent ACT score is above the 75th percentile for last year’s freshmen, too, so you should be looking pretty good, depending on the major you’re applying for.)

Just logged in and the screen looks normal but under application status it says:
“Congratulations, you have been selected for admission to Cal Poly pending your meeting the following Terms and Conditions. Click on the link for further information.”

YES!

so business majors have been notified i am assuming.

I applied for Economics, but that is in the business school so I guess they are notifying business majors now

so i’m still sort of confused as to whether they notify rejections through mycalpoly portal…

because mine still says nothing, so i’m not sure what that is supposed to mean.
because i’m not NOT IN, but i’m not IN either…lol.

I think I remember reading somewhere about someone who found out they were rejected through the mycalpoly portal

I GOT IN ARCHITECTURE WITH 3.66 GPA!!! unweighted of course :)

3.66*800 + 2090 = 5018???
