Theresa May just got some sort of delay till 2023 so… rest reassured, since all students who start at a university are “grandfathered in” -ie., if you start in 2020, you stay with the 2020 fee situation.
@MYOS1634, I am afraid I have no idea what you are talking about. As of today, the UK has triggered Art. 50 and will leave the EU in 2019, and after that everything is up in the air. A transition period is desired by both sides but nothing can be agreed on until there is a mutually acceptable solution for the Irish border question, on which there has been no progress whatsoever, and the rights of EU nationals during the transition period are still being debated.
Agree that students will most probably be grandfathered in but even fall 2019 is uncertain at this point. No reason not to apply - but complacency that everything will work out isn’t a choice for EU nationals living or planning to move to the UK.
