Received package from Amazon that I didn't order

Thanks for letting us know it’s Wayfair. I’ll keep that in mind if I should ever consider ordering from them.

I just ordered and got a runner from Wayfair. Their price was way better than anyone else’s. Glad I did before I read this thread!

Better hope they send the right one!

Already got it. It’ll do.

Maybe you can tell Wayfair you will take it to a UPS place but they will have to pay to have it repackaged and shipped back .

Ha. Remember that when I called Wayfair to tell them they shipped the wrong thing, they miraculously found the “right” item and shipped it out immediately? It came today, and guess what? It is NOT the right item. Right color this time, but NOT the size I ordered. It doesn’t fit in the space I ordered it for. I can’t even. I still want what I paid for, but I sure don’t want to deal with them any more.

Egads. Thanks for letting us know. Will never buy rugs unless I can easily return them.

Is it Wayfair you are dealing with? Or a 3rd party vendor that has their stuff on Wayfair?

Is Wayfair a “marketplace” a la Amazon? Hmmm…

Nope. Wayfair is the actual company. Not a 3rd party seller.

@intparent - So now you have TWO rugs you don’t want?

Yup.

I have an update on the rugs. I shot off a complaint email to Wayfair the evening I got the 2nd unwanted rug. I also Tweeted a negative Tweet about the experience. (And one of their competitors “liked” the Tweet, too).

Miraculously – I get a call (went to voice mail the next day) with a profuse apology, including saying that their employees behaved inappropriately when they threatened to have the cost of the first incorrect rug sent to collections. They said I should keep both rugs, and they’ve credited me for the one not sent yet (what I originally ordered). It isn’t clear whether they will still send that when it is finally off backorder – but at this point I’m not going to call them back to ask.

They say Tweeting gets a company’s attention. I believe it now.

Glad to hear you are getting traction!! Fingers crossed.

Time to dust off my Twitter account. Frontier Communications just beat Comcast for the worst co in my books. Do not want to derail this thread but the stuff they did is just… surreal.

Facebook works, too.

(Time for a sidebar—what happened BB?)

@intparent - that’s why I got twitter long ago. I didn’t even have a smart phone yet. But our local energy company had one guy who would operate their twitter account and it was much easier to get a hold of him during an outage than to wait on the phone for 20 minutes while your battery slowly died.

@doschicos You can’t post on their FB page, and only your friends see it (or anyone who is friends with them if they respond) if you post on your page, right?

@intparent A lot of companies do have their facebook pages set up so that you can comment or post on their page. In the absence of that, you can comment on one of their posts. I don’t have twitter but have used facebook posting several times when I haven’t had success through customer service channels and I’ve gotten much better results that way.

I did look there, but in this case couldn’t comment on theirs. But it is a good point for other companies.

I got a little bell in the mail the other day, addressed to “MaineLonghorn.” Couldn’t figure out what in the world was going on. Then my mom emailed me that she had ordered it and accidentally had it delivered to me. No idea why she needs a little bell, and it worries me that she shipped to me. I know anyone can make a mistake, but she’s making an awful lot of them lately. :frowning:
