Rhp 2010

Aw I’m sure you will! And that’s great that your parents are so supportive.

What about the rest of you? Are you like 100% into going or did you just apply on a whim?

Out of curiosity, do RHP people get to partake in TO if they want or are they just in a separate program altogether?

I finally received the acceptance after not wanting to jinx it for a month!

hlfinsninsmnc: the status reverting back happened to all people, even those who were mailed acceptances.

Eiffel: I believe that RHP people are encouraged if not required to take part in TO.

Good luck to everyone else who is anxiously awaiting the mail!

Ah you got accepted?? Congratulations! Where do you live? Tell us the story! :)

Thank you! I live in northern California. Basically I got the first letter in September for RHP and tossed it. Then I got the second letter in around October, and I decided that I might as well apply for it along with applying for the Bac/MD eight-year program.

Congrats  when do you find out about the MD program? I hope you get a good scholarship!

Don’t forget, all of you juniors may be getting National Merit notifications next year based on the PSAT you took this past October. Even if you are already at USC RHP next year,if you are awarded NMF you can get Presidential 1/2 tuition for your last 3 years.

Omg I just got my letter!! I am so excited!

But do you guys know–it didn’t say anything about scholarships–is that usually in the big packet with admission information or would I find out about it later? Thanks!

Congrats to you too! I think scholarship info comes later?

icy.jennie.jenje: Thank you! I will probably know about the Bac/MD program within a week.

madbean: Do you know if the presidential scholarship for NMF is added onto the existing scholarship or if it just replaces the existing scholarship?

hlfinsninsmnc: Congratulations!

^^The Presidential for NMF will replace the Dean’s–not be added to it. However, USC awards an additional $1000/year to all NMFs as well.

I received an acceptance letter from USC, but it didn’t mention the RHP program at all. Does this mean my acceptance is still pending? Did this happen to anyone else?

I think it means you’re in for RHP too (according to previous threads).
Congratulations evman! Do you mind posting a short summary of your stats?
Wow I’m getting nervous =/. Did all RHP acceptees get their letters this wave?

Good luck, Jennie! I’m pulling for you. :)

Thanks Eiffel, I appreciate it! =)

evman28: I got the RHP acceptance packet about two days after receiving acceptance from the university.

Oh no  I was hoping the NMF scholarship would be added onto any existing scholarship.

And Jennie, I’m pretty sure that they accept people in batches, and some people didn’t find out last year till mid to late February. Good luck!! :)

Thanks! Yeah I saw that quite a few didn’t find out til March. I don’t know, I really want to go to USC but maybe I will just have to wait a year. I wouldn’t mind studying abroad for a year before college if it doesn’t work out!

Oh so if you don’t go to USC next year will you graduate early anyway? That would be awesome!

I was thinking about that, and then taking a gap year to go volunteer in China (my parents are from China). However, I think they’d prefer if I just finished high school because I skipped a grade in elementary school so I’m pretty young anyway. We’re currently looking at high schools in Shanghai, which contains most of family and is one of my favorite cities!

Anyway, you guys must be really ecstatic about getting accepted! Any stories on finding out? How are your parents taking it? Also, you should be getting considered for some big scholarships if you’re accepted this early! That sounds quite exciting :)
