Rip up ED contract before it's too late? [result: deferred]

Congratulations !:confetti_ball:
A dilemma solved and an excellent solution with Tech.

Deferred is not eliminated. It’s not a Wait List.

You could still get admitted although less likely.

But if Georgia Tech meets your academic needs (and it will financial), it’s a great school!!!

And if NU comes through later - well at least you can make a decision on the merits.

Or you can go all in on G Tech and save many hundreds of thousands of dollars
which once you’ll start working, you’ll realize is a lot of $$.

Good luck.

Sometimes, the Universe steps in and shows us the way! Glad your dilemma has resolution. If you do get in RD, you’ll try be able to make a more leisurely decision, partially informed by to what you were feeling at this recent juncture.

Update to everyone who gave me good advice on here. I got into Georgia Tech in the early round, and after being deferred from Northwestern
I GOT IN! Now picking between GT for ISyE and Northwestern for Econ.

Wow, congratulations :confetti_ball:! Roller coaster :slightly_smiling_face:

At least you have 2 extremely different choices
Do keep us updated.

Congrats!!! :tada:

You have a tough decision to make now! Northwestern is a great school, but so is GT, and the top program in your field at a room-&-board-only price?!? Whew
Something hard-to-turn-down will have to be turned down!
