Romani Jr is on the way

Romani, I will only comment on what I have something positive to,say. I listened to my GYN and ate jewish style chicken livers and pate during pregnancy. I was anemic before and after, and my FA had pernicious anemia, so I knew this was real. Eating these foods did make a difference during pregnancy.

I took this awful liquid supplement called Florodix with iron (may have the name a bit wrong…). My hemoglobin still kept dropping but it was never dangerous. One of the many hazards of pregnancy.

@bookworm my anemia is anemia of chronic disease not caused by lack of oral iron. The way one of my doctors described it is that iron goes into my body but doesn’t actually go into my blood.

When my diseases are under control, the anemia is under control. Unfortunately since my inflammation numbers have been high all pregnancy, we’ve been waiting for the anemia to kick up.

@greenwitch that sounds awful I’m sorry. My pcp had me on iron pills for the anemia before I was diagnosed with the lupus and whatever. They wreaked havoc on my stomach and never budged my numbers a bit.

Romani Jr has a name. First name at least. Middle will be Elizabeth or something else depending on sex.

We won’t be revealing it until birth because I don’t want criticism lol.

Feel free to guess over the next few weeks if you want though! It’s short, unisex, and while it can be a nickname, it’s usually a stand alone name.

It’s a little bit fad-y in the US but pretty popular in a few other countries.

We asked baby last night what they thought and they kicked Mr R’s hand repeatedly. We took that as a yes lol

Exciting, I thought you were going to go for the birth day surprise!

My first guess is Finn as you said short. I also thought of Max, but I don’t think of that as a trendy name. So are we talking one syllable short?

Yup one syllable short

Kris? Or Kit?

I’m guessing Ryan.

Also @romanigypsyeyes that’s smart to keep baby’s name secret. People are not inclined to criticize after baby is born and the name is a done deal. Before that - oh yeah.

Ashe, Gray, Jules, Quinn

This is fun! Drew? Cole?

I vote Rey, which seems gender neutral to me. Yoda is cute but would be 2 syllables and result in endless teasing.

Didn’t think about Rey; good pick!

Lee/Leigh, Jess, Lou

I will say that one of the names named is the one my dad is really pulling for lol.

Kai. Jude.

Sam

Kai was my guess too. Single syllable and I’ve heard this for both boys and girls…and it’s sort of trendy.

So I have a patient about 14 named Jude. I walk in introduce myself to him and his parents and say “Heh Jude”…catch myself
. Look at his parents and they say “Don’t worry”.
“He gets that all the time”… Lol.
