You have such a perfect day for Ren’s homecoming!! Beautiful weather makes everything even better.
Big congratulations! How wonderful!!
Happy homecoming! Enjoy your bonding and family time.
Happy for you! Enjoy every moment!
So happy to hear this wonderful news. Enjoy this special time.
??.. Awesome baby and hat. So cute!! Enjoy being a parent. Can’t wait till we all argue which nursery he will be going to ?.
Nice that you’re finally going HOME!!
Ah, home! You get to start being a real family!
I remember bringing D home. After coming in the door, we set her on the floor in her car seat. The cat came by and sniffed her. Then hubby and I just looked at each other like “now what?” So funny to think about now. Enjoy that first moment of being together as a family in your own home.
Welcome home!! He’s adorable and love the hat! I remember bringing DS home. We dressed him in his going home outfit and just looked at each other thinking they just let us take him home? Where are the directions? The cats checked him out when we came home and one always came and looked at me when he was crying and figured out I was the one to fix it. Enjoy your time as a new family!
Good news on the blood sugar and going home!!
Smooth transitions as you welcome Ren home. The photos are great. How wonderful to all be together and spend time getting to know each other.
This is the most wonderful thing I have read in months! @romanigypsyeyes - sending you and your new family so much love! He is one lucky little boy to have you and Mr. R as his parents.
So, are you finally holding your baby?
Congratulations!!!
I hope your first night home wasn’t too bad! The adjustment can be – jarring.
A few days late…but congratulations to you and Mr R! Wishing you all the best - FG
Love the new pictures! Looks like Ren and Mr R have matching hair color! Ren is so alert; my GD rarely had her eyes opened the first few weeks, to the point I was a bit worried. She of course was fine, and I should not have compared her to our first GD.
D1 slept 20 hours a day her first week, rarely awake, down to about 15-18 week 2. My parents came daily to take care of the 2 boys and me post C-section, but H was off for the summer so they stayed home after the first week and just came for visits.
Neither son or D2 were like this. At all.
We had his first check-up today . Jaundice = gone! Body weight = up! (A little, still down from birth but that’s OK.) Overall - very healthy.
He sleeps REALLY well during the day. Night is another story all together lol. He does NOT like his overnight feedings and diaper changes.
He cries maybe twice a day and is instantly soothed with his food.
His hair looks red in pictures but dirty blonde in person. So not quite sure what he’ll eventually grow into.
Mr R has become a worried mother hen. I think he’s slept maybe 10 hours total since baby has been home. I’m more of the worrier and I’ve been pretty chill but he has taken on a whole new level of worry. He stays up all night making sure he’s still breathing. I think spending a few nights in the NICU with Ren really made an impression. He’ll lighten up… just needs some time. It just wasn’t something I was expecting out of him lol.
My dad was a worrier. He never outgrew it.
Yay for Ren’s good first checkup!!
Just caught up from late March and so many hoorays!!! Ren Alexander born, doing well, home with you, doing well – all such wonderful news!!! Mazel tov and wishing you so much joy.
