i’m a first year art major too and I’ve heard absolutely nothing.

My kiddo was accepted for microbiology in December. OOS.
We are in SF Bay Area (CA). With the exception of one person who was accepted in December, my daughter hasn’t heard of any science acceptances in March (including her). I am not sure why it is being done this way but is certainly stressful for students!
I hate to say this… but is there a chance there’s not a second wave?

You mean that they’ve already sent out all the acceptances?

They probably have, based on history.
hmmm, that would be incredibly unkind not to notify all who applied.
Unfortunately, they do acceptances first followed by rejections and WL. It’s a terrible way to handle yet they do it year after year.

I am not sure about the original question but I believe they will have a 2nd wave of admits soon based on their previous year’s history but I have learned not to predict since the CSU’s change their decision posting process often.
Just a reminder for the decision timelines for the last 3 years:
2024: Early admits starting December 18, another wave January 4 and some rare admits Early February. Rare admit March 2. Nursing admits posted March 5. Some audition based majors heard March 7. Another wave of Admits March 11, 2024 and March 13, 2024. Waitlists posted March 19, 2024. Denials posted March 20, 2024. Weber’s Honors college notification March 21, 2024
2023: Early admits starting January 24 and a few admits trickling out throughout February. Some auditions based majors heard on March 14. Rolling admission wave starting March 16 and 17th. Waitlists posted March 17. Denials posted Monday March 20, 2023.
2022: Early admits started December 15, 2021 over a few days. Few early admits posted in early January 2022. Regular admission starting March 8, 2022 followed by a larger admit wave on March 11. Waitlists and Denials starting March 17-22.

Any idea when the bio decisions came out in prior years? My daughter still hasn’t heard anything and none of her bio major friends have either. Maybe tomorrow?
I did not keep track of specific majors except for Nursing which always posts decisions in March. You can look through last year’s discussion thread and see when admitted Bio majors posted.
Edited: Biology admits on March 13,2024 so 2nd admit wave.

Nursing majors and some portfolio based majors usually hear at different times as for the rest of the majors but I have not researched any specific patterns if all the Engineering majors are released on the 1st wave and all the Biology and Psych majors are released on the 2nd wave. To me, there is a mix of majors for each wave.

No Biology majors were accepted last week (based on CC and Reddit posts). I would be very surprised if there is not a second wave.
