My kid checked and crickets. Psychology major. Great is that meaning they will be in the rejection waive :joy:

California S25 waitlisted for Finance. UC GPA 4.24. uncapped WGAP 4.4; 13 AP/DE. school does not offer Honors courses. 4 years Spanish. 29 A-G years. worked, max EC hours.

Accepted for finance EA at Florida, Georgia, Clemson, Indiana(Kelley including Hutton Honors), South Carolina, Tennessee, Colorado/Boulder. Accepted RD Florida State.

33 ACT (I know CA doesn’t use)
Adios California.

Has anyone gotten anything back for Undecided? Acceptances, waitlisted, or rejected?

All I can say is their loss lol

Thank you @Gumbymom Does the waitlist wave often precede acceptances? Doesn’t seem like there’s been many people noting an acceptance this week yet.

Checked the portal earlier and there was no update, but just checked again and son was admitted!

4.08 CSU GPA
Major sustainability
22 a-g
4 dual enrollment
CA non-local

There is no specific timeline for SDSU decisions. Sometimes the admits and waitlists are posted on the same wave. There was 2 admit waves last year followed by the waitlist wave and then denials. Sometimes the waitlists and denials are posted together. It can change every year so students just need to be checking their portals daily for their decision.

We said the same goodbye to CA schools for S23 two years ago (high stats). He’s at Clemson now (happy to provide insights). S25 (high stats) is in process, but I’m skeptical about CA chances, and he may end up at Clemson, UGA, or NC-State.

I expected this for all the usual reasons. He’s committed to U of Florida and very excited. Would’ve loved to see him at Clemson or UGA, too. Amazing schools. Best of luck to your son!

congrats! great school and difficult to gain acceptance OOS! As you’ve now learned, with or without merit scholarship, OOS cost of attendance at FL schools is not that different than in-state CA! When S23 was deciding (with FSU on his acceptance list), I was shocked at how reasonable tuition was, particularly with the merit scholarship he was given.

My son was also waitlisted, we are in-state, similar stats- also Finance.

Accepted to Tulane, UT- Austin, Ohio State, Tennessee, Wisconsin Madison. It is unfortunate that it is difficult for the California kids. Other states give priority to their kids.

Happy he has some great options, but they will cost!

Has anyone received a Biology major acceptance today and from CA, but not local?

Poster on reddit said their acceptance came on 3/22 last year. Patience still needed here apparently.

No, also waiting for Bio. Nor Cal. Great stats but who knows? I just want this wait to be over for her as most of her classmates have been notified.

Good to know and good luck to your daughter! Stressful to keep being left out of the waves but hopefully the Bio major acceptances are not fully released yet
