Students who are admitted into SDSU and into the Weber Honors College can apply for Honors Scholarships via the SDSU Scholarship Office once they have submitted their intent to enroll to SDSU and activated their SDSU ID.

Has anyone received a financial aid offer yet? I don’t think we have. It shows our part and the need but nothing offered to cover the need.

S25 accepted business, 90% likely to attend. Does anyone have knowledge through your own older students about Greek Life? Do they Rush as first semester freshmen? And have things changed since the 2023 incidents? We want our son to have fun but obviously safety is also important.

Bumping as I would love to know as well.

@Jack_Schaedel

Younger son attended SDSU. He rushed his first semester but was not given a bid for any of the houses. He rushed again Sophomore and was selected that year.

Not sure what you are referring to about the 2023 incidents and my son graduated a couple of years prior to that time. My son was the Compliance officer in his Fraternity and a member of the Inter-fraternity council so they are regulated Greek life pretty closely and made sure rules/policies are followed. I would say there is less regulation on the off-campus satellite houses than the houses next to campus. As always, there are a few bad apples that can ruin things for the majority of students but unfortunately I do not have any recent knowledge of any on-going issues with Greek life at SDSU.

Thank you! Yes the incident has been in the news with felony indictments handed down so that’s what kids are seeing rn on socials. I would believe/hope the school is even more vigilant following it all. Appreciate your insight as always!

Does anyone know if the freshmen general ed classes are large, taught by TA’s or smaller, taught by professors? Are they impacted and/or difficult to get into? Are they academically similar to UC classes or less rigorous?

In danger of getting a D in AP Calc BC. I am majoring in criminal justice, not STEM. Is it plausible to worry about getting rescinded? All my other grades are A’s and B’s, and also all weighted.

Yes, the conditions of admission states no D’s or F’s Senior year so you are at risk for having your acceptance rescinded. If you do receive the D, contact admissions immediately and work with them to keep your acceptance. Offer to retake the class this summer.
