Seen Any Good Movies Lately?

We enjoyed -A Simple Favor on Netflix. It was a good comedy thriller with some definite twists.

He hasn’t finished all his credits yet. He’s aiming for 2025.

Is the new season (2) of The Bear airing now?

Still a couple of weeks away

The new season is season 3, and will be released on June 27

I Just saw Inside Out 2. It was actually a good movie. Definitely worth the price of popcorn.

The fact that this movie is playing at the local posh 21 and over theater with a handful of screens tells me that it is supposed to be great! This theater wouldn’t normally show an animated movie.

Last night we enjoyed this 2017 movie (though I liked it more than my husband). Setting is 1950s Coney Island, fun because my parents are from Queens. Watched it on Prime.

One website describes this movie as a romantic comedy, but really it is mostly serious. It feels very much like a slow-moving play. Four main characters - Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Jim Belushi (Jim, not John) and Juno Temple (Keeley in Ted Lasso, though at first we did not recognize her)

Quick note that Oppenheimer is free now on Amazon Prime. Husband and I made it through about an hour last night; I was too sleepy to keep track of it sufficiently. I can see why it was so impressive in the right kind of theater.

Inside Out 2 was pretty good, but somehow not as amazing as #1, which is still amazing in our book. We were happy to have watched it but not enough to see again, except on airplane or free streaming.
