<p>Montegut, I am jealous, D was off for break, but her BF just graduated and his parents gave him money to take D on a trip. She was just here for a night( she went back to school yesterday), & we watched 5 or 6 episodes of New Girl. ( my choice- she doesn’t like the new Nick & Jess storyline)
She wanted to watch Brave but I couldn’t get it to download.
She also wanted me to watch House of Cards. I watched the pilot, but it hasnt really grabbed me yet.</p>

<p>I became obsessed with House of Cards - D and I watched all the episodes in just a few days. She was an extra in two episodes but you can’t find her in either. </p>
<p>I wanted so much to like “New Girl” but I have found I just can’t abide Zoey Deschanel. I don’t think I’ve liked her in anything except “Almost Famous.”</p>
<p>I am personally really excited to see Before Midnight which is part of a trilogy that has been going on for 18 years at this point. Starring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, they’ve made these movies about every 9 years about these two characters that can just break your heart. It comes out in May but I fear it won’t hit the local theaters due to distribution :(</p>

<p>We never did get to Illuminated, and S is saying it’s far down on his list, so I’m sorry I spent the eight bucks on it from Amazon, but one day, I’ll give it a try.</p>
<p>We love Zooey Deschanel, and I did enjoy her in Almost Famous. I think we were first introduced to her in the movie with Jim Carrey where she sings in a weird group. Can’t remember the name of it.</p>
<p>H wants to see Olympus Has Fallen and we’ll try to catch it this weekend, as S was not interested in it.</p>
<p>I really, really want to see Jurassic Park in 3D. Still one of my favorite movies.</p>

<p>I watched two HBO documentaries On Demand the other day while doing chores. One was Kings Point and the other was How to Die in Oregon. Two sides of the spectrum. Both were wonderful and made me do a lot of soul searching, as I’m now on the other side of 50. I highly recommend both of them. They’ll be off On Demand soon, so try to catch them before they’re no longer available.</p>
<p>I hated Zooey Deschanel after watching The Happening. Terrible acting, well actually there was no acting involved–just opening her eyes wide open. I even threw rotten eggs at my TV whenever her cotton commercial aired. I gave her another chance with New Girl. I like her now. The Jess role fits her to a tee.</p>

<p>Saw Jurassic Park in 3D and enjoyed. Definitely a movie that holds up over time. The 3D doesn’t totally dominate the movie which was really nice.</p>

<p>We saw Olympus Has Fallen Saturday and just got back from IMAX 3D Jurassic Park.</p>
<p>Really enjoyed Olympus Has Fallen, guessing it was because I wasn’t expecting much.</p>
<p>Jurassic Park, wow, I could watch that movie over and over again. Wish Son was with us, as he’s already back at school, and by the time he returns, Iron Man 3 will be on the IMAX 3D screen. </p>
<p>Looking forward to Oblivion, After Earth, Iron Man 3, and of course, Into Darkness.</p>

<p>Been watching a lot of movies on cable as I’m working on the taxes.</p>
<p>A pretty recent one I’ve finally gotten to catch is Beginners.</p>
<p>It was not what I expected at all. I did not even know that Ewan McGregor was in it, and I loved how they explored not only his relationship with his father, but also with his late mother and new girlfriend. And of course, I loved the dog.</p>
<p>If you’ve never seen, I would highly recommend it.</p>
<p>I saw “The Gatekeepers” this weekend. Incredibly compelling, and very sobering indeed.</p>

<p>I love 3D, especially IMAX, but DW gets headaches with those glasses and never comes along. Wonder if that’s a common side-effect. Jurassic Park was great, and made me wonder about the technology for making 3D movies even when, presumably, the original was shot in 2D.</p>
<p>Watched a Chinese movie called " A Beautiful Life" on Dish Network movies last weekend. Really Good.</p>
