I was under the impression that The Killing had been canceled again and wasnt coming back unless Netflix went through with buying it? Did I miss something?

We loved The Killing, it was definitely our favorite.

We loved The Killing, it was definitely our favorite.

I really like Joel Kinnaman. He is the lead in the new Robocop movie being released soon so he apparently did catch someone’s eye! I’m not a big fan of the Robocop movies but I’m glad he is getting some attention. Maybe he will “humanize” the role.

I read that Netflix would be finishing the series with a few episodes to close out the last season, however I haven’t seen any updates to that news. Now that Kinnaman is moving on, I’m hoping that this hasn’t fallen by the wayside! Definitely one of our favorites, and I’d love to see how they resolve the final episode!

I watched all but the last season of Breaking Bad like a meth head. I saw the last season in real time. I have a soft spot for Vince Gilligan because he grew up near where I did.

Lover The Killing too. They lost a lot of their audience when they tricked the audience with the identity of the killer in the first season. Audiences don’t like to be manipulated.

I am liking American Horror Coven. Same guy that did NipTuck and Glee, yes? Campy fun.

Waiting for The Americans to come back. Spy show with some surprising depth.

I might watch The Following. I liked the first few episodes—super scary, but was disappointed by the last ones. I will give it a second chance, but just a few episodes.

I actually really liked the twist at the end of the first season of The Killing. I get tired of predictable endings and thought this one was interesting! It’s funny - when we used to watch Criminal Minds, it seemed that many of the creepier episodes took place in the woods of Pennsylvania and when our D ended up at PSU we joked that she shouldn’t go on any hikes by herself. Now, as a result of The Killing, we are giving our friends who just moved to Portland a hard time about that “creepy” city!

Why can’t American television writers write something like this?

Blechley Circle - The idea behind the show is facinating…time period is just after WWII in London. Apparently this is a mini-series and the first 3 episodes are on Netflix - watch them, you’ll like this show. I’m holding out on watching the new 4 episode series until it hits Netflix.

Island War - another well written show set in 1940 on Jersey Island just of the coast of France but owned by the British and the German occupation during that time. This is not a show about the war, the war is the backdrop.

I’ve tried to get into Breaking Bad and just haven’t been hooked. I stopped after 5 or so episodes. Maybe one winter night I’ll give it another shot.

The Wire, Breaking Bad, Shameless (this is soooo good). Homeland.

Haven’t watched many of the above mentioned shows.
The most violent show I watch is Justified. Boyd Crowder is one of my favorite characters.
I am currently watching Jeeves & Wooster on Amazon.
Fans of Benedict Cumberbatch should try Forty Something.
Benedict, Hugh Laurie, Peter Capaldi ( Dr Who), & Anna Chancelor.

I realize it is filmed in Vancouver, B.C., but I think it is supposed to be Seattle.

*Grimm, *is filmed in Portland.

His (Walton Goggins) character on The Shield (which I binge watched last year) is fascinating and dark. [The Shield (TV Series 2002?2008) - IMDb](The Shield (TV Series 2002–2008) - IMDb)

Scandal, parenthood, criminal minds, modern family, Carrie diaries, the office, dexter

Oh yeah, Scandal.
Thats easily as violent as Justified.

I also watch Sons of Anarchy for Venus Van Damme.

^ a play on his undercover name from The Shield!

Emerald - you’re right! I had a momentary brain eclipse! The Killing is in Seattle which is where ours friends moved.

Oh well, they are less than 200 miles apart & have similar weather.
Seattle is the one with a football team and PDX is the one with a basketball team.
:)

I love suits and white collar! :-)

Second season of Kevin Bacon’s The Following starts this weekend. Love, love, love it!

Packed to the Rafters on Hulu; an Australian comedy/drama series. I am addicted; engaging actors and storylines plus the fun aussie accents.

Entourage was a really great series. I think we’re trying Homeland next.

If you enjoyed Burn Notice, you may want to try Person of Interest and Covert Affairs.
