Shameless is back! And Community.

My favorite shows (I watch too many) on TV right now are: Shameless, Community, The Mindy Project, The Middle, Scandal, American Dad, Brooklyn 99, The Goldbergs, Sleepy Hollow. I watch a lot of comedy since I get bored easily / it takes me awhile to get into new dramas.

I do enjoy AHS: Coven and Chicago Fire. Guilty pleasures.

I’m sad It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League and Sons of Anarchy are over for the season. Is Justified good? FX makes good TV.

The characters in Justified are from Elmore Leonard. (RIP)
Leonard also wrote 3:10 to Yuma & Get Shorty, amongst many others.
I would start at the beginning, its on Hulu & Netflix.
Also love Patton Oswalt.
My favorite big bad on Justified( besides Boyd & Adam Arkin) was Mags Bennett ( Margo Martindale) and her apple pie.
If you like Justified, you should watch Deadwood, also with Timothy Olyphant, but also Ian McShane.

So Sherlock s back tonight, I heard the first episode is kinda hokey, but the next one is supposed to be fantastic.

LOL!! D2 is part of some sort of Community cult. Goes to the CommuniCon convention every year. I know she’s been a happy camper the last week since its return.

We are almost halfway through Part 1 of Season 5 of Breaking Bad. It’s been a marathon weekend. Just watched the episode where they steal all the stuff off of the train.

Teri- We just finished BB season 5 part one tonight. Ohhhh boooyyyy. Can’t wait to see part two. Waiting on the library copy is going to be hard.

I’ve been watching HBO’s True Detective. So far it is pretty bad even though it has Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey

Homeland!!! So compelling and gripping. The first 2 seasons at least.

Thanks, EK!

teriwtt, wow, that’s commitment! It really is a great show.

I recently watched the first three episodes of The Bletchley Circle, and loved it. I gather than the nest season will be broadcast on PBS this spring.

I also watched the first couple of episodes of Boardwalk Empire. I find it difficult to summon up a desire to watch something with a bunch of gangsters. Am I wrong about this?

I thought Sleepy Hollow was going to be cornball but I am sucked in.
I especially like Orlando Jones.
[Orlando as Magnus Olsdatter](<a href=“Norwegians in Pushing Daisies - YouTube”>Norwegians in Pushing Daisies - YouTube)

Boardwalk Empire has changed a lot. The first season, though violent, was more about relationships.

I enjoy Episodes on Showtime with Matt LeBlanc playing a distorted version of Matt LeBlanc. The heart of the show are the buddy relationships between Matt and the male half of the British writing team - for the pretend TV show “Pucks!” - and the female studio executive with the female half of the British writing team.

Sherlock, love that show. Doc Martin, Downton Abbey, Newsroom. I will have to watch Homeland one of these days.

I love Boardwalk Empire. Have watched it from the beginning and even know some of the actors involved since it’s filmed in NY and employs a lot of theatre actors. I enjoy period pieces, and it’s interesting how some actual historical figures are included in some of the storylines. Another truly wonderful HBO series, which just ended recently, is Treme. I’m going to miss that one.

After the first episode of the current Sherlock season, I texted my son how disappointed I was in it. He, of course, had long ago seen the whole season by whatever means 20-somethings have of blatantly disregarding copyright. He said it would get better and that the first episode was “mostly lies anyway.”

It does seem, however, that the writers and producers have abandoned the project of updating the recognized Doyle canon in favor of projecting Sherlock Holmes into something resembling 24.

AGHHHH!!! We just finished Part 1 and didn’t realize Part 2 wasn’t on Netflix!! We were going to watch the first episode of Part 2, and by the time we did all of our searching (and calling both Ds in desperation), and realized we can only buy it through iTunes or Amazon, we are going to go to bed tonight without having started Part 2. I know this sounds horrible, but once I hear H snoring (about 10:25PM, give or take five minutes), I may sneak back downstairs and watch the first episode of Part 2. They can’t leave me hanging with poor Hank sitting on the toilet trying to read Walt Whitman!!!

I know! I am THIS CLOSE to stopping at Walmart and buying the final set of DVDs! The look on Hank’s face was priceless!

OK… just watched the first episode and feel like I got my fix. Can go to sleep now.

If you don’t buy it on DVD, or iTunes, or Amazon, how long until it comes out on Netflix?

Jhs- share your disappointment with first episode of SHERLOCK glad to know your son reports it gets better …

teri, the date I found online says Breaking Bad’s last season comes to Netflix February 24th: [‘Breaking Bad’s’ final 8 episodes arrive on Netflix next month](<a href=“http://www.hypable.com/2014/01/10/breaking-bad-final-eight-episodes-netflix/]'Breaking”>‘Breaking Bad’s’ final 8 episodes arrive on Netflix next month : Hypable) Now, you know you can’t wait that long … I think it’s totally worth the $1.99 per episode charge on Amazon. There’s even a slight discount for the whole season ($14.99).

It was torture waiting while I watched the last season in real time. If you can restrain yourself from binge-watching the entire last season, you’re made of better stuff than I am. I’d say that it’s going to be just about impossible once you’ve seen the third episode.
