Thanks… yea, not.going.to.wait, but thanks for the head’s up about the third episode, which we should get to Friday night (which is good because we stay up later), if we watch 1 (or, I rewatch 1) and 2 tonight and tomorrow night.

Another BBC series. “Allo Allo”. A british sitcom placed in occupied France.

My D got me hooked on “The Newsroom” on HBO (I’m still on Season 1 on HBOGo)! If you liked West Wing, you’ll enjoy this show too!

The Newsroom is awesome! I accidentally watched it a few times and could easily get hooked if a let myself. It’s great.

Unlike razorsharp I’ve been watching True Detective and loving it. It’s much less about solving the crime than it is a character study of two cops, and both Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are excellent. The cinematography is also very good. But be forewarned that it’s quite dark (in mood, not lighting).

Only one more season, unfortunately.

I loved West Wing and I forgave Sorkin for his poor handling of women in it. I have a harder time forgiving him for the same in Newsroom. I thought he might evolve. At the end of the first season, I was hoping to see every female character in the show walk into an empty elevator shaft.

Just finished Breaking Bad five minutes ago, and am emotionally spent!

Enlisted! Cute comedy about 3 Army brothers. It’s on Fox I think. Love it

I really wanted to like the Newsroom but the characters speak so quickly and obsessed about so many irrelevant points, I had to stop watch.

Anyone watching Black Sails? It might have some potential but I really can’t tell at this point.

D, H, and I are loving Sleepy Hollow. Mad that we have to wait until September to see more Crane and Abby. :-w

I really enjoyed Dracula on NBC. It got off to a slow start but got really interesting as the season progressed. I really hope it is renewed…the season finale left a lot of things unresolved.

Finally finished Breaking Bad. Wow. Excellent series beginning to end. Possibly my new gold standard against which all other tv shows will be judged.

@psychmomma - did you break down and buy the last season like we did?

teri- The day I couldn’t stand it anymore it came in at the library. I’m in a depression/withdrawal combo right now! But … just saw a movie preview with Jesse in it- something with fast cars. may have to check it out.

Oh, “True Detective” is breaking my heart. So good. So, so good.

I still miss “Breaking Bad.” We like “Homeland,” “Downton Abbey,” and “Walking Dead” - but nothing comes close to “Breaking Bad.”

I take that back - “The Wire” was close. I still miss Omar, too.

@scout59 - funny, I was talking to someone today about the ‘what-do-we-watch-now’ dilemma, and they mentioned The Wire.

I am starting to watch Intelligence. It seems to be an interesting show with some potential.

teriwtt - “The Wire” is awesome. Lots of swearing, but lots of really memorable characters. I need to watch it again - it’s the only TV series that I own.
