I am officially a binge watcher. Not a whole season, just 4 hour-long episodes. True Detective with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. The quality is off the charts–feels like a really good movie especially when watching 65 minute episodes sans commercials. SO glad a friend told me about this one. Creepy excellent.

Did I mention how hilarious Parks and Recreation is? We just finished season 3 and I can’t believe we didn’t watch it on tv. I do think you need to watch it from the beginning to get to know the characters. So good.
We watch Reign too. Have enjoyed it so far.

Just started True Detective. It’s amazing.

We are still enjoying the only two TV shows we watch–Grimm and Sleepy Hollow. H finds both fascinating so we watch them together. Both have been renewed and are fairly new. Grimm is in its third season and Sleepy Hollow is in its second. Both are police procedurals with scifi/mythology thrown in for good measure. I find them very creating and unusual–MUCH better than any “reality” or cooking shows to us.

We were thinking about trying Sleepy Hollow. My fiance loves Parks and Rec and I am catching some of it when he has it on and I am starting to like it. He watches Community, too, and I like Parks and Rec a lot better.

I’m presently binge watching Call The Midwife. I’m on the last episode of season 2. No idea what I will watch when I’m finished.

Don’t miss Orlando Jones ( Sleepy Hollow), as Magnus Olsdatter in Pushing Daisies.
<a href=“Magnus Olsdatter: If it isn’t Papen County’s most... - Pushing Daily Daisies”>http://pushingdailydaisies.■■■■■■■■■■/post/27887066476/magnus-olsdatter-if-it-isnt-papen-countys-most

Elementary.

^ recently watched an old (1995) bbc production of Emma - Johnny miller ( elementary’s Sherlock) was Mr Knightly. And, recently discovered he had been married to Angelina Jolle!

Growing Up Fisher debuts tonight after the Olympics. You’ve probably seen the previews if you’ve been watching the Olympics. I know the Mel that the show is based on-looks to be a great show!

We are Netflixing season one of House of Cards and omg!!! I think this is THE best TV show I have ever seen. Kevin Spacey is amazing. The whole cast is amazing and the story, wow.

Finished watching the second, and final, season 2 of The HOUR.

The Americans is back for it’s second season. IMO, it’s one of the best newer shows since Breaking Bad and if it continues to be as great as it was last season, I predict lots of awards across the board. It’s that good!

Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Lie to Me, The Office, Modern Family, My Mad Fat Diary, Criminal Minds

House of cards had a strong first season unlike so many shows that take that long to get going, but I didn’t like the 2nd as much.
Just finished watching Firefly, but haven’t seen the subsequent movie Serenity yet because I already know spoilers.
Chiwetel Ejiofor starred in the last episode.
When does Sherlock return?
I don’t think I can wait that long!

Liked the Hour.
LOVE House of Cards. Saving the last episodes, so I don’t run out- may restart it.
Also like Ray Donovan.

Still loving the only two shows we watch in this house, Grimm and Sleepy Hollow. Both well written and intruiging to us.

Finished Chuck and Leverage on Netflix. Now on season 3 of West Wing. I do lke watching them on netflix, no commercials and I don’t have to wait a week to watch the next episode. Truly spoils you for current shows. I think after this I might watch Columbo. I would like to see the Sopranos but isn’t on Netflix streaming. Don’t have the disc subscription anymore. Maybe I’ll restart it just to watch that. Also thinking about Murder she wrote.

I was so busy with the kiddos for so long TV seemed like something I just had to dust or move! There were several years when we just didn’t have one. And it was a while before even cable was at our house. So while I am waiting on grandbabies…forever…I am catching up on 30 years of shows. I do like Sherlock and Burn Notice.

Kat

I just started watching Scandal and I am liking it. After the pilot I didn’t think I would, but I am 2-3 episodes into season 2 and I am happy with it now. It kind of reminds me of the West Wing… though I can’t put my finger on why, I am not sure that they would necessarily appeal to the same audience… I was excited to see Will Bailey! Whatever his real name is.

I think The Americans might be my favorite show on TV right now. Reign and Nashville are competitors. Quite the spread I have there! :P

Ema, if DH is any indication, you’re right that West Wing and Scandal don’t appeal to the same audience. West Wing is one of his all-time favorite shows. He quit Scandal after the first episode…too soap-opera-y for him.

@emerald-
With Sherlock, who knows…they only make 3 a season, and they already have broadcast the 3 for this year, so I suspect we won’t see another series until next year, there has been talk of Christmas, but it is likely around this time next year at the ealiest (and might be the following year sigh)…they are committed to a series 4 and 5, so that at least is something to be hopeful for:)
