Urgh okay I applied ED and the admissions office said they haven’t received my materials. I sent everything by mail, and they asked me to fax my application over.

I have a feeling that they received it, but they’re just so flooded right now that it’s taking forever to process my materials so what should I do? Fax it over? What about my teacher’s recs? My teachers have gone overseas, whoopie.

Yes! Cause my internet was being wonky that time so I decided to do the app by mail. They’re asking me to fax my application over.
I think I’m just going to fax my essays + Common App forms over, I really don’t know about all the supplementary stuff like teacher’s rec and all the reports. I’m thinking it’s just a hold-up in processing some of the materials.

Hi people, I’ve got an alumni interview coming up. Can I just ask if its common for almost all Singaporean applicants to have alumni interviews, or only a few get it?

Some schools will try to interview everyone, others only interview a few. In my experience, Columbia and MIT tries to interview everyone while Harvard interviews a select few from Singapore.

Well I think they interview starting in early Feb for Singaporeans(?). That does give them about a month to sieve through the “promising” applicants.
