SJSU Class of 2025 —Regular Decision Release Date: Feb. 22

Alameda County is not in SJSU’s local area. Applicants from SJSU’s local area get a bonus equivalent to +0.25 GPA.

Was the recalculated GPA actually 4.25 or higher, as opposed to 4.249 or some such that is lower than 4.25?

According to the CSU local service area and the SJSU website, locals are HS graduates from Santa Clara county schools. Local applicants get a 0.25 GPA bump according to the SJSU website.

As of Fall 2019, an increased preference was given to local applicants through a 0.25 GPA increase in the calculation for those applicants who will graduate from a high school in Santa Clara County.

East Bay is the local CSU for Alameda county. https://www2.calstate.edu/apply/freshman/documents/csulocaladmission-serviceareas.pdf

Uh, then we are not local. 4.25 is the GPA listed in the CSU application form.

With the 4.25 GPA that puts him exactly at 3400 index so you might want to confirm with SJSU if the applicant needed to be over that threshold for a CS acceptance which seems like it.

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could provide some insight. I submitted by transcripts to SJSU a while back and they said thanks and they had everything they needed for now. Today I saw an addition to my to do list asking for final year end transcripts due by July 15th. But my status says incomplete and documents required. Dont colleges only ask for final trancripts if you’re accepted? So am I accepted and it’s just not up or ? I don’t have my final final transcripts as the year has not ended so.

So you logged into the portal and clicked on your application status and it still shows as pending? That does seems strange that they asked you for final transcripts but you have no decision yet. I would try to email or schedule a zoom session with admissions. I think most students have received their decisions now, so that sounds odd.

Yup. It says “Incomplete- documents required” and on my to do list, there is one item asking for proof of secondary graduation ( I’m an intl applicant). This is what the to do list item says when I open it:

To ensure that your application for admission is processed in a timely manner, please submit all FINAL official transcripts/mark sheets now. The documents must include ALL 9th through 12th year courses you have completed (passed and not passed). A graduation (completion) date must appear on the transcript. Failure to meet the posted deadline will result in your application and/or admission to be withdrawn. Please mail official documents (i.e., documents sent from institution directly to SJSU) to: Office of Undergraduate Admissions, San José State University, One Washington Square, San Jose, CA 95192-0016.

Ok yeah, I know that international applicants are done a little different. I would for sure try to email or call on Monday and see if you can send in what they’re requesting right away.

My son never heard back from SJSU - still pending. Weird?

I would reach out to admissions…that is odd. I’ve seen a lot of posts with acceptances and declines, but I think you’re is the only one that I’ve heard is still pending.

I’m still pending but I am an international applicant so

I was thinking about you and whether you had heard back yet. Did you try reaching out to the admissions office at all?

My dad called on monday and they said decisions will be out soon and extend until April. Didn’t specify when though

Hi!

Can anyone please let me know what does “Provisionally Admitted” mean as they have not mentioned the intended major? I am an International applicant (Freshmen).

Provisional Admission (PR)
You have been admitted provisionally. You may continue to see an “Incomplete Status” symbol on your Student Center page as long as you owe final documents to complete your admission process. Check your “To Do List” at MySJSU instructions.
You also must meet the CSU requirements for eligibility for the class level to which you were admitted.

Still no decision ahh. This is my last school and I applied to it 5 months ago. Just want this over with. Why are they taking so long? I’ve emailed and called them and they just keep saying it will be released soon.

Are you a transfer?

No. I’m a freshman

Tf. There must be some error because most freshman decisions came out in like February
