I can drive in snow. It’s the other idiot drivers that I worry about.
Thanks dragon mom , we won’t have any worries or problems at all, others near us might though.
The commute this morning from NoVA to Maryland was uneventful. Mostly rain with some flurries that weren’t sticking. Temps above freezing the entire way. This afternoon may be interesting if the snow sticks.
We have snow flurries here in the south! Panic!! LOL
Yesterday, we were supposed to get from a dusting to 3 inches. Well…we got six inches. Schools dismissed early yesterday and are opening late today.
This week is turning out wonderful. Just enough threat of snow for significant overtime, but not enough to be inconvenient or dangerous.
Schools weren’t even open here yesterday, thumper. As heavy as it was coming down, even banks were closing early.
Here in NoVA the weather keeps changing so depending on the hour the weather will be different.
As I drove this morning on 495 it was raining mixed with snow and very foggy. Visibility was poor. On my way back you could see big flakes of snow but it wasn’t sticking on the roads but the grass was white. Later it looked like heavy snow coming down and I really thought it would start to stick on the roads. Two hours later no sign of snow and it’s sunny. Right now the roads are clear and it looks like a normal clear day. Ask me two hours from now and the weather may change again.
Even last week, when I looked at the 10 day forecast, no one expected what we got yesterday. Now they’re saying maybe a dusting later this week, maybe 1-3". I don’t think they know.
During the blizzard, when I was figuring when D1 should drive down to CT, I actually called the local radio station, to see if I could ask a weatherperson my specific questions. The gal who answered literally said, “They phone it in.”
It was sunny and snowing two hours ago in Rockville. Now it’s clouded over again.
Snowing pretty steadily here in my part of PA with 3-5" predicted. I won’t have too many people for Ash Wednesday services tomorrow.
But I won’t be snowed in tonight with a home care client. Messy but doable.
The bladder lady is now in a nursing home
KKmama, I hope she is able to get the support she needs there. That was too much of a load for home health aides. Bless you for all the care and attention you gave this woman.
I’ve had enough of these low temperatures, icy roads, and snow.
Hoping to see signs of spring after this.
I picked the wrong long weekend to visit NYC!!!
After the frigid temps, we now have low visibility and delays at the airport.
Today it is bitter cold. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be near 50 and raining.
It’s supposed to be in the 60’s this weekend here in the DC area. I hope so!
This rollercoaster ride weather.
Meanwhile my west coast friends enjoyed a day at the beach on Valentines Day.
The east is becoming the new Midwest!
^Except that most of December and half of January, it was more like the South.
Oy! Poor @greenwitch! Definitely not a good weekend for NYC, although I hear the crowds turned out in below-zero windchills yesterday for the Lunar New Year parade in Chinatown.
