<p>I think the beginning and end are connected in ways that will be revealed next season. House will have caused the accident that Cuddy is in in the beginning. We know Cuddy is leaving if the news leaks are to be believed. The accident does give them leeway to take the plot any direction they need to when contracts are signed.</p>
<p>SaintSaens, he may have been deluded about being on a beach, but we do know that he was missing based on Cuddy’s and Wilson’s statements at the very beginning. I thought it looked like a California beach! Did he hop a plane?</p>
<p>Singersmom, I don’t know that there’s anything to resolve about the accident scene at the beginning. I assumed it was the aftermath of House’s drive through the living room. House leaves, Cuddy calls the cops, Wilson is there as a witness, so it makes sense they were talking to the police.</p>
<p>I don’t think House’s leg will be amputated; that would make for a season of really awkward filming since Hugh Laurie still has his.</p>
<p>The Huddy plotline was terrific until the relationship was consummated. Didn’t Hollywood learn anything from Cheers??</p>
<p>My wish is that they’d spend the first episode tying up the loose ends of the personal stuff and then get back to being a show about a cranky doctor solving medical mysteries.</p>

<p>As my daughter pointed out, at the beginning, Wilson said something to the effect of, “you’ll find House in a place that matches how he feels…it will be a dark bar” Instead he’s on a palmed beach…could be a delusion or real, but I think she has a point. He wasn’t feeling remorseful about what he did, but elated, high, relieved.</p>
<p>Wondering if Cuddy’s daughter was in the house at the time of the accident. That seems to leave the possibility of a lot of “twists” open.</p>
<p>At the very beginning when Cuddy is talking to the police officer, she mentions needing to call her mom and check on her daughter. What is really dark though is that House had no idea if Rachel were present.</p>
