A couple of weeks ago we saw some ILL reruns from when Ricky’s band was touring Europe. I love the one where the guys have “designer” dresses made from potato sacks and hats made from a feedbag and an ice bucket. I also saw the one where they got trapped in the Swiss chalet while hiking. Good times.

VeryHappy (what a nice user name): remember that Pacific NW rains are not spectacularly heavy, more sort of a continuous drizzle, so your mileage may very. I wear pants made from a technical fabric (from the brand Lucy) that insulates a bit even when wet, and I wear a fleece jacket over a cycling base layer that wicks sweat in one direction. Thus I am reasonably warm even though wet. Back when I used to run in east coast rains, I wore goretex. But east coast rains can be warm in the summer; in the PNW, it doesn’t rain much in the summer and when it does rain it’s the cool/cold season. (Growing up on the east coast, I LOVED walking in warm rain.)

I love In Touch magazine, which I pour over front to back. I have no idea who 99% of the “celebrities” are, but I am completely fascinated anyway.

I also love self help books, on any subject. It’s sort of a hobby— reading about self improvement but not actually doing any of it. Particularly the how-to-organize ones.

I love ice cream with wine.
Listening to the rain dropping on the skylight.
The smell of the soil when it’s wet.
I could spend endless hours listening to Charles Aznavour and Mireille Mathieu.
I love Sat. because no matter how the weather is I go out for a few hours. That’s my “me time”. I really believe that’s one of the reason I am still sane. No kids in tow and I go places that I want to go to.

zoosermom- I have only caught it a couple of times when flipping through the channels but I found myself watching and enjoying the show where they go shopping for the wedding dress in NYC. Don’t know the name of it or even what channel.
