<p>I think I could die happy if I just got to spend one night in Jessica Chastain’s dress–and with her figure, of course. (And George Clooney would be on my arm–but I digress.) Absolutely stunning and tailored to perfection. At the other end of the spectrum, Melissa McCarthy, who has no clue how to dress for her body type and should fire her hairdressser stat. She may as well have wrapped herself in a shower curtain. What a mess! On another subject, I welcome the news that Ben Affleck shaved off his beard at an after-party. </p>
<p>I thought Seth McFarlane did fine and found the telecast to be a welcome mindless respite from exhausting sequester coverage. Only real negative was the terrible sound mixing on Adele’s song–the orchestra drowned her out. So astonishing that professionals can screw up that badly on such an important night, and when they had rehearsed the previous day.</p>
