So who's watching the Oscars tonight?

Who is going to die first, Kirk Douglas or Michael Douglas?

Ang Lee!!!<3333333

Ang Lee seems like such a nice man. I was hoping he’d win just to hear his speech. :)

What a great speech from Daniel Day-Lewis. And I’m happy for Jennifer Lawrence - I hope she has a career full of great roles ahead.

I have such a girl crush on Charlize Theron. She is indeed stunning. I love her dress. I also liked the Armani Prive gowns of Jessica Chastain and Naomi Watts. What’s up with Anne Hathaway’s apron dress? Chris Pine was quite handsome with his five o’clock shadow.

Aaaand … woot. Argo - yes.

I thought MacFarlane did a really good job as host.

Seth MacFarlane has a nice voice. Happy for Ben Affleck.

I caught the best picture, actor and actress announcement but did was there a best picture montage of every one? I enjoyed that and though that was typical of every oscar, or maybe it’s periodically.

The oscars get duller every year. When the best actor winner is funnier than the host, Hollywood you have a problem.

I thought this was an exceptionally entertaining Oscars show this year!

Wow, my reaction was very different. I thought MacFarland was one of the worst hosts ever. His jokes not only fell flat, but were insulting to women (jokes about domestic violence and eating disorders?) The people I watched it didn’t like it, and my Twitter feed was extremely negative.

I thought Seth McFarland was as good if not better than most hosts. I enjoyed I saw your boobs! But that’s his humor. He’s an acquired tastes. As far as the winners–

I’m glad Lincoln did not sweep. Same with Zero Dark 30. I thought there are much better stories about the hunt for Bin Laden and that the red-headed Jessica Chastain was never believable (in spite of her talents) as a special agent in the Middle East. I’m sad DeNiro lost but I do like Waltz. I’m happy for Daniel Day Lewis and Ang Li because both are talented and both were incredibly gracious. I had hoped Flight would win for screenplay. I thought Quentin’s speech pompous and Django is far from his best work.

I was bored by all the musical numbers, except Barbra’s. But I was surprised she looked so plastic and that she didn’t really ever belt it.

The Lincoln assassination joke was in extreme bad taste.

But McFarland was just not funny. Billy Crystal, Johnny Carson…they were much better, much funnier hosts.

Bab’s voice isn’t what it used to be. But no singers voice is at that age.

seth macfarlane was the host of the Oscars??? what the hell??? Who are they going to have next year, Jerry Springer?

Haha i thought the John Wilkes booth joke was pretty funny. Seth Macfarlene provides a different kind of humor and he knew he would offend people…what do you expect from the creator of Family Guy?

I thought Lincoln, Life of Pi and Django was far better than Argo. But its the Oscar and you never know what’s going to happen. I thought Dame Shirley Bassey looked FANTASTIC and she belted out her her song fabulously. I did not enjoy Le Miserable. The movie was beautiful, costumes were great, cinematography fantastic, but when the actors opened their mouthes I cringed and winced. Will never understand that attraction. This was the first year that I saw most of the nominated films, so it felt good to watch it this year.

I remember sacha cohen hosting last year’s Oscar. A lot of jokes fell flat. People were supposed to laugh out loud, but instead he got pity laughs. Rickey Gervais also had a segment on the Oscar I think. And his jokes were also politically incorrect. I think they want the crowd entertained, but these jokesters are misfits in something like the Oscar.

Billy Crystal was the host last year. Sacha Baron Cohen never hosted the Oscars. Neither did Ricky Gervais – he hosted the Golden Globes.

David Letterman was a weak host. James Franco phoned it a few years ago, but I thought Anne Hathaway tried so hard she made up for him, at least a little.
